I loved the room with all its coziness and outdoor deck with blankies. I so appreciated all the comfort from the owners as well. I was grieving and they took their personal time to acknowledge that and comfort and pray for me. I shall be forever grateful. Thx ever so much.

Such a magical place to stay. It was lovely to be upgraded in our room and we stayed longer than we were going to. The new owners were in their first full week and they were so wonderful. The food is incredible.

The room was great and bed was comfy. The shower had great pressure and loved waking up to the smell of the ocean.

We loved Alert Bay Lodge. It's rather quirky and clearly a labour of love for the owners Nina and Scott. There is an amazing communal space where you will find some really interesting objects and First Nations art. As well as comfy sofas and a lovely fire, tea and coffee is available. It is a wonderful open area to spend the evenings. From here you can access a veranda with incredible views over the water.
The location is amazing, we saw orca in the water right outside the lodge!
Nina and Scott are very friendly and engaging hosts. There was some healthy competition going on between them with their breakfasts.
We had an early excursion on our first morning so Scott made us breakfast rolls to go, which were great. On our second morning we had pancakes made by Scott which were very nice but on our third morning we had pancakes made by Nina which were sublime (sorry Scott)
We loved our stay here and would definitely return.

This one-bedroom house on the bluff overlooking the harbour with amazing views was a superb location for our 3 night stay on Cormorant Island. Cormorant is a magical place and the Village of Alert Bay is amazingly welcoming and friendly. We attended the 65th Anniversary celebration of the local library/museum, toured U'Mista Cultural Centre, walked the Ecological Park trails and soaked in the local atmosphere in the Village shops, shopped for gifts at Culture Shock where you can find the best coffee in the Bay.

a full day or an overnight is the perfect time spent seeing the island. More that that would get draggy if you are touring the area.Ferry travel is frequent and most convenient.. The bakery/coffee shop is amazing both in food quality and personal service. Lighthouse visit is a must see destination. Residents of the island are very friendly and gracious. Must see destination is North Americas Largest Wasabi Grower.

Beautiful, quiet place.
Beautiful, quiet place. Not many tourists which is refreshing. The scenery from the beaches was beautiful and peaceful. Not a lot of amenities or things to do outside of enjoying nature. Bere Point is just lovely.
