    Nice place to visit.

Nice place to visit. There are nice places for hiking, swimming but almost all the side roads are not paved. Two full days would probably be enough. Make sure you reserve the ferry in advance because you might not get the time you want. There are some restaurants and Tim Hortons, nice chocolate shop in Kagawong, Gore Bay. All travel information could be found on line or in visitor centre.

Little Current is a nice little town with a lovely waterfront trail. There is a nice spot for viewing sunsets in the park next to the marina. There are some nice hiking trails within a 30 to 40 minute drive, both on the island and on the mainland near Whitefish River. We were there in early October, the perfect time for hiking, due to comfortable temperatures, fall colours, and not having to contend with mosquitoes.

This hotel was within a few blocks of the scenic boardwalk, choice of restaurants and grocery/variety stores. Good food and good pricing at the restaurants we visited. Little Current is a great base for visiting a number of nearby Museums, waterfalls and lighthouses.

Loved the trail which runs along the waterfront, very peaceful little town that’s crying out for a lakeside restaurant and/or bar! Great little shops, including an excellent coffee shop, Loco Beanz. Enjoyed the Manitoulin Brewing Company and Elliott’s restaurant. The place does have the feel of a place lots of people are passing through, but it’s the perfect place to explore other towns and beauty spots from.

Very good location. Was about a 35 min drive from the ferry.

Very good location. Was about a 35 min drive from the ferry. Good in all directions for lovely hiking trails and scenery. Right next door to the hotel is the visitor information. Downtown is in walking distance from the hotel and sits right along the marina, very cute !! No Tim Hortons, no McDonald's no KFC or any other franchise's on entire island. We loved that !!! Getting food was abit challenging but we found a few places open where the food was quite good and homemade. We ate mostly at the hotel. The food was good. Breakfast was very good !! We did go when the tourist season was winding down early fall/during Covid.( The hotel took all the necessary precautions ) Definitely recommend a visit to this lovely island. The only thing that was a downer was that our room was overlooking the parking lot. If I had known that I wouldn't have chosen the cheaper rate. Definitely book for a room with a view !!!! For the added cost it's worth it. $ 10.00 more was all they asked for. We couldn't change our room as the hotel was full.

    Definitely not as advised.

Definitely not as advised. We hoped for so much more based on reviews of other travelers. It's run down, places are abandoned very little to do. Had I of known I would have complety skipped Manitoulin island all together and not wasted the $70 to cross on the Chi-cheemaun.

Not a lot of selection in Little Current. This place was OK; nothing really stands out as being great or awful. It looks a little run down from the outside, but our room was recently renovated with new flooring, paint, fixtures and furniture.

The hotel was very nice and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. It was also located in a convenient location in town. The hotel staff were also very kind and helpful (e.g., they provided extra towels when asked).
