The Olde Anchor Bed & Breakfast, hotel in Georgetown

Featuring a garden and views of river, The Olde Anchor Bed & Breakfast is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Murray River, 45 km from VistaBay Golf Course.

Our stay here was delightful. The host, Mary, was warm and gracious. The room comfortably sized. The bed was comfortable with crisp, white linens and live green plants made it feel personal. Appreciated the Netflix and Amazon Prime. The shower was shared, but appreciated the complimentary robes. And the breakfast provided options and was outstanding. I’d definitely highly recommend The Olde Anchor B&B.

The Innkeeper is very kind, personable & knowledgeable. We enjoyed chatting with him. The Barn at Spry Point is situated in such a beautiful location. The room & facilities were very clean & quiet, despite being fully booked. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a unique experience with picturesque surroundings. We hope to visit again in the future for a longer stay!

The people in town are super friendly and welcoming. We attended an event at the Playhouse and had a great time. Both evenings we had dinner at the Georgetown Inn and both times it was incredible with great service!

Georgetown is a sleepy little fishing village with little to do, however we were only there for under 24 hours. There are no restaurants in town but there is a tremendous little bakery/gallery around the corner from the Georgetown Inn where we stayed. But if you like quiet and quaint, it’s an ok place to stay for a short visit.

Lovely quiet town next to the sea. Very friendly inhabitants. Conveniently situated to see other parts of the island. Lovely walks on the confederation trail. The Georgetown Inn also serves very nice meals at night so no need to go and look for restaurants.

Hotel was listed as historic... We were disappointed the entire town was not historic...It was more like a ghost town... We had a view of Daryl's store we looked out the window. The many stairs you have to climb to get to your room is more than bearable. The furniture was not historic.. Pine furniture does not fit as historic. No icemaker in the property except in kitchen when someone is there. They close the kitchen at 8:00 and do not open to let you in until EXACTLY 3:00 . Upon leaving I had ask for a cup of ice and the owner refused..
