I would come and stay again and recommend it. Breakfast was good apart from the sausages. I would have preferred breakfast sausage and bacon instead.

Right by the water, all balconies faced the water, and very good pricing. The amenities were exactly what we needed. Nice kitchenette, bathroom and beds. Air conditioner worked well and wasn't loud. Linen was clean, and minor glitches fixed immediately. Was very quiet, and owner/manager patrolled regularly, but was very discreet. We needed peace and quiet and we got that with great views and a charming little village. Rest and relaxation for 4 days, 3 nights. Owner/manager was very friendly, accommodating and generous! All the coffee I wanted!

On a golfing vacation. Lovely place. Duncan Meadows golf course was good. Great people and nice play. Dinner at Mr Mike's and fabulous steak with lobster bearnaise cooked perfectly with great servers. Beautiful weather and got lots of overhead eagles while golfing.

Duncan is best experienced outside of town for trails lakes and nature in general. Try an AirBnb. There are a few within 20 minutes or so from town in beautiful settings. To Eat, go to Romeo's. I had one of the award winning pizzas, and it didn't disappoint

Sadly, this town seems quite depressed, with little that was visually appealing, and many homeless folks wandering the streets. Seems to be a good jumping point, to get fuelled up, get groceries, do laundry etc, before continuing to stay elsewhere.

The Cowichan Valley region (incl.
The Cowichan Valley region (incl. Duncan, Cowichan Bay, Cowichan Lake, Chemainus, Ladysmith.) has restored, sweet, old towns with plenty of outdoor informative signs, images, murals about local history, walking, cycling and equestrian trails to renovated trestle bridges (Kinsol Trestle is the biggest and most impressive one), the best river tubing in the pristine water of the Cowichan river, clean lakes with nice beaches for swimming, ecotourism with wineries, cideries, distilleries and breweries, all in beautiful settings. Don't miss the Hand of Man museum in Mill's Bay. Easily explored within 4 days with a car. All the municipalities are easily explored on foot. We were never disappointed with the food either and they have gluten free options everywhere on the menus.

A comfortable stay, the room was spacious, clean and felt modern, also the hotel was easy to find.
The fridge and coffee making facilities were great. USB charging ports were also really useful as we had travelled from overseas.
Parking was available and gave us peace of mind that the gates were locked for a significant period of time overnight.
We were pleasantly surprised by our stay, thankyou!

It was very close to the Aquatic Centre in Duncan, where I was attending a Swim Meet. It was easy to get in and out of, and close to a number of eating establishments. Parking was next to my room, so that was good. Pretty quiet considering the motel is right beside the main highway. The room had a kitchen, which was useful, and an enormous fridge.
We have stayed at this hotel before and found it good, well priced for the quality of the hotel. It is well maintained and clean and the attached restaurant offers a basic menu at good prices and quality.
