I have been to different places around the world, Fernando de Noronha just got the number 1 spot right now! It is amazing during this time of the year (late August - beginning September), perfect place for diving with a great variety of sea life!
Swimming/snorkeling from Praia do Porto to Praia do Cachorro was a wonderful experience, we got to see several turtles, octopuses, lobster, different fishes, nurse shark and we even got lucky when the dolphins came to us for a private show! And people it is all wild nature in balance!
Scuba diving is also a great option, it was the first time for my wife, and she loved it, was her 2nd best adventure experience ever, only loosing for the one I described above, where the dolphins came to visit us and we swam with them!
Getting around there is easy, there is only one bus line that goes everywhere every 30 minutes, also the most expensive taxi ride in the island, I believe is around R$ 50 (i.e.: less than US$ 10)
On the low side eating at fancy restaurants are very expensive, a dinner for 2 at Xica da Silva restaurant without alcohol and no dessert was around R$ 450 (around US$ 80) which is very expensive for Brazilian standards. On the other hand there was a great restaurant called Valdenio Restaurant at Vila dos Trinta, where the food was also good (not fancy) and way more accessible, around R$ 70 per plate (around US$ 12), also at this restaurant it is the Paleta da ilha factory (local popsicle factory) which is really good an cheap (R$ 8 ~ US$ 1.5) try the CAJA Flavour!

It is one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited.
It is one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited. The beaches are beautiful, clear water. Unfortunately, there is very little infrastructure and roads are mostly dirty roads with no asphalt. It is said to see such an amazing place with so little infrastructure. If you are used to resorts in Cancun or nice hotels around the world Fernando de Noronha does not have that.

Is a nice place but very expensive, the tours of the Ireland are not very good specially the boat one was really a waste of money, they literally charge the tourist for everything and anything, but never in my life I had to pay the rent for a life jacket on aboat trip!
That was Noronha tour I think is really terrible and against any held and safe regulation in the all world not to supply a life jacket on a both after an already high price charge for the trip !
The boat take u to a place to snorkel but there is no much to see is really the worst trip I been on.

But a beautiful island on it's limit. Too much unneccesary traffic because of tourists (take the bus instead of buggys!!). Too many wanna-be-rich-silicone-fitness-dickheads, Noronha ROOTS is over :)

I absolutely loved the breakfast. Chose this place because of such high references for its breakfast and it lives and goes beyond expectations. The hosts at breakfast are so competent and professional yet sweet and accommodating. Even if I stay at another hotel, I would definitely go back to this one to have breakfast.
The location is great, the rooms are clean and spacious, just what we needed. The hotel facilites are well maintained and extremely cozy. The staff are friendly and super helpful, they always go an extra mile to help you and make your stay unforgettable.
the hotel was super charming, super comfortable, clean, minutes walking from the city center where most of restaurants and bars are. the best of it was the staff, all of them are super nice and helpful. breakfast is also amazing!
