Terrace Hotel, hotel in Bandar Seri Begawan

Terrace Hotel features a fitness centre with floor-to-ceiling windows and a landscaped outdoor pool. It is a 10-minute walk from Yayasan Shopping Complex.

The hotel is REALLY old, but nothing that actually interfered in our experience, even though in a first glance it is a bit shocking when you see it. Location was great, really close to the Regalia Museum and in a 10-min walk to most of Bandar Seri Begawan's top attractions. Additionally, the room could really hold the temperature - it was scorching hot outside, but really nice inside, even with A/C off. Another huge plus was the restaurant, with fantastic and affordable food!

Different tourists have different tastes and preferences, hence my wonderful experiences of BSB may not be the same as that of others. But given the cost of my recent visit to BSB, I must say that it is like a "province" of Singapore -- with wide, landscaped roadways, generally clean points of interests, and sparsely populated (because of Ramadan?). We did have a good time!

    I love Bandar Seri Begawan.

I love Bandar Seri Begawan. It has been my ancestors' place of origin, of course, but that is not the only reason. The reasons are attractive places located at the heart of the city like Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque and Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien Park. Foods also can be found easily at the city at affordable price in Brunei dollar/ringgit.

Not a usual place for travellers, but once you're there you're in awe of the natural beauty and beautiful architecture of the country. It is a good place to travel to for a short trip of up to 4 days.

A taste of the South East.

A taste of the South East. Great food from so many different Asian countries. Very helpful calm happy people. Calm pace, they cannot be hurried. Large spaces, Pop-up street events. Covid-cautious. My best dinner out was in KIMCHI Restaurant because I wanted Korean food. I was not disappointed. Not easy to get around as no public transportation easily available.... except you call for DART.

Its very small so 3 days is enough time. there isnt much to do but a trip to the mangroves to see the monkeys and to the rainforest is nice and peaceful if you are into nature. There isnt much luxury shopping and it is quite expensive. Local cuisine is good similar to their neighboring countries. Do try ambuyat its quite odd but worth a try.

Not much to d other then visit museums and markets.

Not much to d other then visit museums and markets. We ventured out to Tomburong which is a boat ride away and there are a lot activities there like sky walking where you go up 1000 steps n can see the jungle below, kayaking and trekking. We ate at the local markets where local food is sold, cheap and very clean and food very tasty. If you are into gardening , few nice garden centers to visit . The only way to get around is by Taxi, which can be daunting g at times .

the room was super big, proper, clean and near with supermarket, and restaurant (aneka rasa) so delicious and cheap. fyi brunei transportation system like 90 where they using an old bus that will cost 1 dollar. and surprisingly i wait an hour no bus come to the airport. the hotel offer 20 dollar for shuttle from airport to hotel and i think it was the cheapest. i cant install dart for some reason and ask the hotel to book for me when i want to travel around. better rent a car, it was quite cheap and the fuel price is cheap.

It was a basic room and it was more like a hostel than a homestay but it was very comfortable. All of the public spaces were clean and available for use. Yani was lovely and more than helpful in getting us settled into Brunei for a few days. There are bicycles you can borrow to cycle to the beach which was nice. There are three very sweet cats which was lovely! Due to the inclement weather, we were unable to go diving but they have their own dive shop which is super convenient as they come to you to plan the dive trips.

This is a truly exceptional place and by far the best place you can stay during your visit to Brunei. The hostess is kind and very helpful and great company. The location of the lodge itself makes is a really unique experience. The lodge is located on the edge of Kampong Ayer, the village on the water, and can only be accessed by taking one of the many boats. Don’t forget to go for dinner in the Kampong and explore the village on foot!

The hotel has very nice facilities, everything you need is there! Huge pool, big and very clean rooms, very attentive staff and not only attentive, but very well trained! The finish is of high quality, the gardens are well maintained. The best was the huge bed and the duvets! Still dreaming about them! The pick up from the airport had a personal touch which was above our expectations. Will definitely come back again!

I was there only for one day transit. Just like any other visitors, we were excited to explore the city. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any public transportation due to fasting month. The hotel owner kindly took us for a quick sight seeing around the city so we can experience Brunei at glance! Such a great hospitality that exceeds my expectation! Wonderful!

Probably the best hostel in Brunei. If you want to at least have a shot at meeting other travellers, then come here. Super clean, moden feel. Really nice cafe-ish area with big windows. Kitchenette, so you can make basic stuff yourself. Helpful staff. Fully curtained dorm beds(lower ones at least). Can't beat the location.

We contacted the hotel in advance and our room was ready for us upon early arrival at 11am, which was great. The breakfast was good quality-local cuisine but plentiful and tasty. The beds were comfy and there was a nearby supermarket and bakery, which was super convenient. Staff were universally friendly

Great place to stay. Brunei has basically no taxi. They pick you up at airport and take you back. They also shuttle around to important places such as the night market. All this is included in the price. They are very accommodating. Hotel has everything you need but is not what you would call luxury.
