The house was full of character . Lovely tiled floor and wooden panels/ stairs owners were lovely they clearly love what they are doing. We had breakfast in the garden .
The room was comfy and good. I had the cleaner breathing down my neck cause I checked out right on 10am. This place lacked atmosphere, and the breakfast wasn't great.Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

Although a town of fairly humble origins (agglomerated villages) it has a UNESCO world heritage site : the Four Lifts. I recommend cycling along the canal and admiring them. When following the canal, there is also, at Thieu, a magnificent view on the new Lift (which is gargantuan).
There are some decent restaurants in the centre of the town.
Have stayed here on a number of occasions during our drives between UK and Greece - excellent location just off the motorway. Staff at reception were (as always!) polite and helpful. Room was modern and a good size. We ate in the hotel for the first time (we normally eat in the restaurant next door) - not a large menu but more than met our expectations - the local beers served at the bar are excellent.
