- Everybody working there was really kind and ready to support us with any request.
- Food was excellent. The "grill-abend" was simply amazing.
- Hotel is equipped with everything needed for the families: Kinderwagen, Kindertrage Rucksack and most interesting (at least for us) E-Bikes that we used to have a tour all around (going even to the next village).
- Landscape is really nice. The sound of waterfalls and all the beautiful nature around, including the high peaks is relaxing and giving a feeling of peace.
- The possibility to have Kinderbetreuung half a day during the week is definitively good for both children and parents
- The Spielplatz especially, but the Kinderbereich as well, are great for kids and swimming pool is a good alternative when rainy is coming.

Gästehaus Obwexer is located in a nice small town in the Austrian Tirol. The room we got was fantastic....it was actually a studio, with a complete kitchen and a small living room separated from the bedroom and bathroom. Excellent wifi. The breakfast was served in the restaurant crossing the street and was really very good, with excellent quality products. The place has a free parking slot by its side. I recommend it enthusiastically.

It is a small village with more or less any shops you need. There are many hiking paths to enjoy and because it is early in the season there are no crowds and bikes around. You have to check the little paths because sometimes the owner of the land just closes the path and you have to make a bigger round.
There are castle ruins to be visited, huts and beautiful forest paths with stunning views.

The town itself is tiny and there is nothing to do (although there is a supermarket, gas station and bakery). But the hiking possibilities are limitless, as are the excursions you can make in the Hohe Tauern area. We also found some nice restaurants in the area.
Lovely hosts! So kind and helpful. We were sad that we only stayed here for 2 nights because we immediately felt home at this cozy place. Our room was really spacious and clean with beautiful view on the mountains. Breakfast was really good: all kinds of granola, eggs, bread, cakes, fruit,... (Only no cappuccino :D ). From here you can start exporing Hohe Tauern national park and when you're tired you come back to enjoy the pool and the sauna.
The location is perfect, snow-capped mountains all around and spectacular views! The apartment was very big, huge, with many rooms and bathrooms. Very clean, the beds were very comfortable, I can't think of something negative to say. Simply because there are no negative comments to make regarding this place. I just wish we had checked in earlier.
Great panorama from the well-maintained garden, big panoramic windows, well-equipped kitchen. Two bedrooms with different mattresses ( soft and a harder one). Parking right at the entrance of the appartement. We loved the whole stay!
Very cozy and comfortable appartment, pretty big for just us. Nice and well equipped, in a very nice and calm neighbourhood. There were beautiful small calfs in the rooms in the ground floor so I guess perfect for children in Summer.
The apartments are spacious and clean, and the hosts are great. The town center is nearby, so you don’t need to travel far after dinner. Parking space is provided in front of the apartment.
Ingrid was an incredibly generous host and went above and beyond to make our stay in Virgen memorable. We will be staying here again on our next visit.
