FAQs about hotels in Vienna

Waltz Through the Pretty Streets of Vienna

Previously the centre of the Hapsburg Empire, Vienna is the current centre of Austria’s culture, economics, and politics. Visitors may think they are in a museum as they walk through the historic first district, but Vienna also has a youthful and dynamic side with lots to offer.

St Stephens Cathedral in the Inner-City is surrounded by the Ring Road, with grandiose buildings like City Hall, the Austrian Parliament, the State Opera House and the Burgtheater. Enjoy the city where amazing musicians like Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, and Mahler once lived. If you’'re visiting during the carnival season, practice your waltzing skills at one of Vienna’s 200 glamorous annual balls.

Visitors can wander around beautiful park grounds in the Wiener Prater and Schonbrunn Palace provides imperial and extravagant grounds to stroll through. After exploring, eat with the locals by enjoying famous sandwiches at Trzesniewski, a Wiener Schnitzel at Cafe Central or taste traditional wines at the city’s many Viennese pubs.

Vienna International Airport is the doorway to the heart of Vienna. Booking.com has luxury hotels, charming bed & breakfasts and modern apartments to meet any accommodation needs for your stay in Austria’s capital.

My wife and I had lived in Vienna for three and half years...

My wife and I had lived in Vienna for three and half years up until 2013, so we were returning as "tourists" this time and to visit friends. We love Vienna. We only had a few days to enjoy a couple things. An opera, a mass at one of the catholic churches, and dinner at Plachuta. Our stay was in an area of Vienna that, although there are families living there, is somewhat poorly lit at night, and for anyone unfamiliar, would be somewhat concerning. No need for concern. We'll likely be back when our friend (who just proposed to his long time girlfriend) has their wedding.

Vienna is stunning , elegant , safe and easy to get around , there so much to see and do there, I've visited there 4 times and still not seen everything I want to! I love opera so always see opera there in the sublime Stats Oper. The art galleries cover a huge range of art , specializing in Vienna around 1900, so it's rich with Klint, Schiele, Gestyl. Many beautiful buildings designed by Otto Wagner, and then there's the Palces of the Hasburgs. Food and drink are amazing and there's coffee and cakes , the best in the world!

Vienna is an amazing city, and I can not wait to return. Navigating the streets on foot or by public transport is very easy. The museums, shops, people, restaurants, and rooftop bars are second to none. Learning how to dance the Waltz was the cherry on the cake. Love it.

Vienna ist the most wonderful city with tons of things to do. There is an abundance of cultural things (museums, concerts, theatre, etc.) as well as excellent dining options and shopping opportunities. The surroundings are also very attractive with choices for everyone. There are far too many tourists, though, so don't be surprised if some Viennese people seem to be annoyed by the obnoxious and ignorant behaviour of some people.

The hotel is located very close to the main Vienna train station. You could access the main city centre using the Tram line D departing very close to the hotel. Tickets can be brought on the tram via an automated machine. Remember to buy the 24 hour ticket rather than a single journey ticket if you plan to travel around a bit. The hotel and the rooms are very clean, new and functional. The breakfast was ok value around 12 Euros. There is also a 24 hour bar downstairs which seem to be quite popular in the evening.

I travelled with my teenage daughter and we found the hotel really good. The room was comfortable and all seemed very new. The aircondition made the stay pleasurable, wifi was good. The staff was helpful. It is situated just outside the city centre but and underground station is just outside the hotel so it made it easy to get to the centre and to travel around Vienna. There is a construction site exactly near the hotel but it didn't interfere with our pleasant stay.

The hotel is located within 8 minutes flat walk to Vienna Hbf railway station and is surrounded by restaurants and bars. The city centre is a short ride by tram. The room we occupied was situated on the 1st floor and was spacious, clean and quiet. The extra large bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel’s greatest assets was its staff who were most friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We enjoyed our stay and would use this hotel again.

Spacious room, comfy beds, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent location! What’s not to like?! I highly recommend Radisson red hotel for anyone looking to stay in Vienna for a few nights. Also, very clean hotel with lots of amenities, including a rooftop bar with beautiful views of the city and river.
