Salzburg is a compact city with lots to see and an endless supply of places to eat and drink. We had 3 full days there plus our arrival day and I think it was maybe a day too long. Lovely friendly city though with excellent public transport.

The fortress tour was very good, It was easy to arrange attendance at a live “Mozart concert” which allowed us to visit the Marble Hall in the the Meribel Palace. Visiting the places that Mozart lived in Salzburg.
enriched my appreciation of his great talent. Even in autumn the Meribel gardens were impressive. Beautiful old town to visit and visit to the series of museums in the Dom Quartier is fascinating. The midday organ recital at the Dom is very worthwhile. We also enjoyed a very interesting tour of the Stiegl brewery (1pm in english).

Amazing transport system, so many buses and trolley buses. We took the bus to Hellbrun and Untersberg mountain. All this was included in the Salzburg card which is great value for money. The city centre is small enough to walk everywhere but you can always hop on the bus.

Being in the centre of the old part of Salzburg is always a pleasure. We are usually there for the Christmas market when it is really quite crowded; however in October it was much quieter which we appreciated as now being a lot older we found it easier to get about. People were extremely kind and helpful. Would love to visit again but maybe difficult as I am now 86 and husband 93 - next week 94 and we loved every minute.

The check-in and check-out processes were very smooth. The receptionists were very helpful, assisted us with the purchase of the Salzburg card and provided some suggestions for local restaurants. The hotel was a 10-minute walk to the old town as well as being in close proximity to supermarkets for those wishing to buy local specialties. The room itself was large, quiet, had excellent wifi and was very clean. Definitely worth the stay.
From the moment we checked in, to the moment we checked out, everything was perfect. A lovely room, superb breakfast and very friendly, attentive staff. Just a 10 minute walk into town and 15 minutes to the old town to see the Christmas markets. I can’t praise this lovely hotel enough. Thank you for a perfect stay in Salzburg.
Room was very large with a light airy feel,. Very much utility rather than luxury. Breakfast was absolutely amazing both in quantity and variety, was now expecting hot food. Large carpark outside the hotel could not be better. Trolley bus halt 5 minutes walk away for access to the centre of Salzburg.
A very friendly, family-run hotel in a traditional old building. Safe and comfortable, excellent value for money and very close to the main railway station and a short walk from the Old Town. A very good choice for a short stay in Salzburg.
Salzburg isn't a big city, so the hotel was in a walkable distance for the train station or the old town.
The reception is open 24 hours and staff are very nice. Very clean and comfortable beds.
