Excellent location by the Achensee lake. We hotel has a portion of the lake in its area and we can swim there. All facilities are great , food is amazing and kids activities exceeded our expectations.

Everything was amazing! Dinner was great, breakfast was outstanding. Also, the spa was a really nice way to relax after a long drive. We had so much fun with the staff at the bar, we were pretty bumped that we only stayed for one night. We will come back for sure!

Excellent little town in the most stunning area with super friendly people and great options for multiple activities such as hiking, stand-up paddling, sailing, playing tennis, swimming, sunbathing, playing golf or mini golf, riding bikes or taking the ferry or local tram to explore the area! There are great restaurants as well, where every wish of yours is easily fulfilled! We absolutely loved it and will come back for sure!

Maurach is the gateway to Achensee area. From here there is easy access to 3 ski resorts at Maurach, Pertisau and Achenkirch. Lots of outdoor winter activities on offer in addition to downhill skiing, such as, cross-country skiing, tobogganing (at Pertisau and Christlum Achenkirch), winter hiking, guided nature walks, ice skating, swimming. Buses are reliable and free to guests staying in the area with an Achensee card. For self-catering there are 2 very good supermarkets in Maurach. There is an hourly bus which connects Maurach to the mainline train station Jenbach.

Maurach is a cosy town on the southern shore of Achen Lake, and easily reachable by public transport (train to Jenbach, then bus 8332 to Maurach or alternatively in summer, the very scenic Achen Lake Railway). Fantastic views over the surrounding mountains.
Aside from an art museum (Notburga) and technology museum ("Museumwelt") there aren't a lot of attractions, so it's mostly the mountains and the lake you'd be visiting Maurach for.
Maurach has some ski infrastructure, but advanced skiers will want to take the ski bus to Achenkirch (ca. 20 - 25 min).

We visited in October for mountain hiking. The area is beautiful with numerous hiking routes in the mountains, along the lake shore and in the valleys. The village has plenty of restaurants, a couple of supermarkets and a variety of other shops. We travelled by train to Jenbach and then by bus to Maurach. Bus travel in the local area is free with a visitor card provided by your accommodation (and with confirmation of booked accommodation on first arriving). It wasn't a disadvantage not to have a car.
Our favourite restaurant was the Felderer Stadl. Amazing value, tasty food, and friendly staff.

Achensee is wonderful and you can practice a lot of outdoor activities. When rainy at Atoll you can enjoy indoor swimming pool and SPA facilities. Two supermarkets are available and a variety of events is scheduled in the surroundings

A great place as a stopover on the Adlerweg with access to a beautiful lake with two supermarkets and a bakery. You could easily stay for several days with so many lovely walks close by, especially the walk to Pertisau and then up the valley to Gramai Alm.
Spacious room with balcony, super comfortable bed, short walk to Center and Rofan Cable Car, supermarket opposite the hotel. The hotel also features an excellent Pizzeria and a Bar (no noise from the Bar can be heard in the room, rooms are super quiet for a recharging sleep). Overall also super clean and an excellent breakfast. I definitely will come back
Beautiful location, the rooms have been nicely and tastefully renovated, and the cafe/restaurant serves excellent local cuisine. Whether you go for just a short stay, or a holiday, all you require is catered for by fastidious and excellent hosts with an uncanny attention to detail detail befitting a first rate traditional Austrian family run hotel.
The food experience you have in the hotel is included in the price of the room already, it's just amazing. The staff was really friendly even though some of the reviews can say it can be hard to communicate with them in English, I haven't had any problems and they were always trying to help. It's a shame a stayed for only one night there.
Our holidays were amazing! The location of the hotel is very good - 5 min walk from the lake, restaurants are nearby. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We have booked a room with lake view and enjoyed a picturesque view every morning and evening. The breakfast was good with sufficient variety.

Especially Ms. Yohanna, who did not hesitate to provide everything we needed, as well as the location of the hotel, the delicious breakfast, and the cleanliness of the place. The hotel was recently renovated, as well as private parking.
I advise everyone to stay in it.

The apartment was just a little ways up the road from the actual hotel but it was an even better location because it was so close to the lake and the view of the lake was amazing. It is very spacious as well.
