It’s the perfect little city to use as a base for exploring this area is eastern Tyrall. Call there’s plenty to do here in any season. In the winter there is skiing, paragliding, cross-country skiing, walking through the beautiful valley. In the summer there is rafting, mountaineering, lots of hiking and other outdoor activities. The people are really wonderful and friendly and there are many other places to visit nearby. Just beautiful scenery everywhere you look!!! We found numerous delicious restaurants including Kirchenwirt and Adler Stube. We also absolutely loved the café at the top of Zettersfeld… The ski area. It was so cozy and cute and the scenery was just stunning 360° views of the Alps. Great food. We went to paragliding with the Bruno Girstmair Flight school. Incredible experience. Flying above the alps. Words cannot even describe it

Lienz was a very nice town, with plenty of variety for shopping, drinking coffee and eating the most amazing cakes. The ski lift can be reached on foot or bus. The views from the top were amazing as was the cafe where you can have lunch, sit outside and enjoy the sunshine, after skiing..

Beautiful location but didn't have enough time to visit the castle or walk about The Alpine coaster was great, as was the cable car up to the top of the mountain. Stunning views of the whole area and behind. I would recommend Lienz to anyone who is visiting the Alps region. It's a great starting point!
Breakfast was absolutely amazing, with a wide selection of local specialties, such as various kinds of butter, cheese and ham.
Dinner was very fancy, definitely worth the cost.
Wellness was also awesome, consisting of several saunas and a big relax area. The hotel provides towels, bathrobe, everything is exactly as you expect.
Staff was extremely helpful.
Maybe it's because I was visiting after the end of the summer season and before the beginning of the skiing season, but I felt like the price for the stay was really good.
Very, very pleasant, family-friendly hotel in a beautiful valley, with a comfortable and clean room, kind and helpful staff, excellent location, from which many winter and summer activities are accessible (even on foot).
Restaurant: the chef cooks very well, the service is fast, and there is a wide selection. Vegetarians are also welcome.
The hotel is easily accessible by car and it has its own parking lot, which is right next to the hotel.
If you want to shop, there is a grocery store around the corner (50m from hotel).
The apartment is super nice, clean, with fantastic views of Hochstein and Lienz below and 2 minutes by car from the Zettersfeld cable station. In the ground floor there is sauna and shower with a cold water bucket, or you can jump into snow just outside. From the balcony you see cable cars going up to Zettersfeld (they start the cable cars before 9, even though official start is 9:00, so you can skip the lines if you get there at 8:30ish).
The ground level apartment was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen had enough cooking supplies. It had a nice dining table and sitting area. The bedroom was big. It is located on the edge of Lienz near open farm land but is close enough to easily walk into town. It is a quiet area. There is a grocery store close by for supplies. Helga was a good host and was helpful. It was an enjoyable stay and Lienz was interesting to visit.
Located in central Lienz, the property was very handy for railway and bus stations, shops, restaurants and cafes. The property was well appointed, with modern decor, clean and comfortable. The owners were very helpful answering all my questions. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and would be happy to return to Dina Mariner when returning to Lienz

Great place to relax
The property was spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Daniela the host was very responsive to any queries that we had. Lienz is such a beautiful place to visit and I would highly recommend staying here, we were a family of 4 and it was incredible value for money. Happy guests 😊
A lovely hotel in the centre of a nice small town. Very kind receptionist. Room large, convenient, quiet. The hotel is in easy walking proximity to a good restaurant that is open on Sunday, which was the day we visited. Good hotel breakfast. Convenient parking right in front of the hotel.
We really enjoyed staying in this hotel. The staff were very kind, our room was big and comfortable with a nice bathroom. The breakfast was perfect.
The view is absolutely amazing to Lienz and to the surrounding mountains. The garden is also beautiful with cute ponies to pet.
Our family spent a week at Hotel Holunderhof and we had a fabulous time. The hotel is located perfectly for a ski vacation. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished and the daily breakfast was delicious. We hope to stay again soon!
Our stay was absolutely amazing! Staff were so friendly and the food was incredible. The room was spotless and the hotel surrounding by the lake with Mountain View were so beautiful. Everything was great!
This guest house is a treasure. The wood paneled stube in the dinning room and the plentiful antiques were rare and impressive. The view overlooking Lienz brought beauty to each window each day.
Very clean and comfortable. Very friendly and kind owners. Great breakfast every morning. We stayed a week and absolutely loved Falkenstein and Lienz. Would recommend it 100%.
