We have spent here an amazing weekend with my wife at the end of April. We were very impressed by the beautiful and well equipped challet and breathtaking nature which surrounded us. If you like hiking (not climbing), Hohentauern is the right place. There are some peaks to climb, but only up to 2500 metres altitude. Many streams and lakes make the hikes eventful. In winter there is a small skiing area and many routes for cross-country skiing and snowshoe hiking. Perfect place also for families with smaler kids.
Everything was on 1*, it was pleasure to be there. I highly recommend this hotel!
Breakfast was really amazing, we were looking forward every night for next morning, because when we opened the door, there was prepared for us really super quality breakfast.
The furbishment, the equipment level of the kitchen, the scenery makes it a perfect summer base for local activities like hiking or longer star tours to attractions in the vicinity of Hohentauern.
