I've been visiting Bad Hofgastein for 12 years in the summer holiday, and with every visit it gets a bigger space in my heart. Plenty of memories, plenty of relaxation, plenty of beautiful and peaceful sceneries, and every year people are being nicer and sweeter. The town keeps developing and renovating that can be noticed in every visit.

It’s nice little town.
It’s nice little town. If you like skiing and bathing in one of spa areas, then you will enjoy. Not lot of restaurants and good ones are always reserved so you need to prebook if you want to have lunch or dinner. Not a lot to do with children, specially young ones that are not skiing yet.

It wasn't good · I was looking for dog-friendly accommodation, I wanted to relax, spend 2 quiet nights, but there weren't too many appreciable positives, it probably nuances things a bit, that's what happened. My dog is 9 months old, going to school, this has never happened before at home and in other environments, but when I left the room he chewed on the leg of the chair. The photos I attached show how much. It was probably a new place for him and that’s why it happened. I also immediately received the email that damage had occurred, the invoice was sent. I also attached the invoice to the photos. They sent me an invoice for € 162.80 and asked if they could deduct it from my credit card. I wrote to agree on an amount, I’m very happy to pay, but that’s maybe a little much. Then the next day I noticed that the amount had been deducted from my bank account without my permission. Anyone who wants to go with a dog, I don’t think so, because it can happen at any time. But I don't recommend the hotel even without a dog. Disgusting attitude!
The hotel was exceptional, very friendly staff on reception and restaurant (respect to Toma for patience and diligence), perfect location in the center of the city, tunnel to AlpenTherme, quite short but picturescue way to the Lift. The only point, hb might be a bit more delicious, but in general both breakfasts and dinners were fine. I hope to come back once!
The location is quiet, with supermarkets nearby and a walking distance to the village's center. Our 2 bedroom apartment was of good size for a family with 1 child. It had everything needed for cooking at home. We haven't noticed any noise from neighboring apartments in the same building or from the surrounding area. The view from the balcony is nice.
Very comfy beds, great view from the balcony to the mountains. Underground parking, although open and cold, but it was great to have a safe free space to park under the hotel.
Secluded place with great views.
Loved the free pass to Alpen Therme. That exceeded our expectations as the sauna area there was best we have ever seen.
Excellent breakfast and dinner, spacious spa and wellness area, comfortable rooms (the heated drying rack in the bathroom was very useful). We also liked the variety of activities offered by the hotel including yoga classes, snowshoeing and winter hiking just to name a few.
Flat was clean, spacious and well appointed. Kitchen had enough dishes to host a party! Host even left staples like tea, coffee and sugar for us. Two bathrooms were appreciated with five adults and two kids. Beautiful balcony and view of the town and mountains.
Great and cosy apartment, located in the center with many walking and hiking trails at hand. The best thing is that the entry to the Alpentherme saunas and pool is included and they are just a 3 minute walk away! The staff is also very nice.
Large living room and large kitchen table. The two bedrooms were a nice size with comfortable beds and a balcony with a beautiful view. Two toilets. Main bathroom was large with lots of storage space. Washing machine.
Amazing hotel with great spa facilities and large yard to chill (in the summer). Very nice restaurant with great layout and ambiance, serving a large variety of (healthy) dishes and the best breakfast there is.
The apartment was nice, spatious and clean. There is a skibus stop a few steps away from the house, which I did not get from the description at the time of booking. Also two big supermarkets are really close.
Enjoyed our time at hotel Alpenhof: comfortable, cosy, great value for money, and there was always a parking space for our car. Also, very close to the city center, thermal baths, lots of restaurants nearby..
The hotel is very clean, the food is good and varied. The SPA is very large, it contains 3 saunas, salt room, relaxation, swimming pool... The staff is generally kind with few exceptions.
Excelent location, 3 min. walk to bus station, 5 min. to Alpentherme. Good breakfast. The apartment was a little old fashioned but fully equiped and well mentained.
