Good location - close to the epic hiking trails, but further from the bus station.
Hospitable staff !!!
For the breakfast they provided scrambled eggs (just without any vegetables) - that's a plus compared to other hosterias/lodges I have stayed throughout my trip in South Patagonia.
Hair dryer was not provided in the room but you can barrow it at the reception!

Beautiful town, lots of places to eat and have a beer; know that the weather is extremely unpredictable and hardcore: we had insane winds when we there in beginning of April. We got lucky enough to see Mt Fitz Roy the first day we were there but every day after (3 days) it was covered in clouds, so take that into account for your trip!

Amazing place that can be the base for many adventures!
Amazing place that can be the base for many adventures! We planned our trip to Patagonia leaving more time for El Calafate, but we left thinking we would have preferred to switch this! In El Calafate, everything is much more tourist like and you need to pay for basically every tour you’re going to.
Chalten felt more chilled and like you can just leave the hostel and go do your own thing without necessarily paying for an agency to take you somewhere.
It’s a very charming little place with great food and local beers available, so very cosy and welcoming after a long day of hiking

We loved El Chalten!! The hiking is incredible!
We loved El Chalten!! The hiking is incredible! And the town is adorable. Love the little local food places. Since the weather is so variable it was nice to have an extra day in our schedule to wait for a clear day for hiking. We all filled it with horse back riding, climbing and birding so no one was bore.

Located under the towering peaks of Fitz Roy, this town is a special place from which to explore the Andes. There are walks to suit all levels of hikers and the landscape is just breathtaking! The people of el Chalten are especially kind and friendly also.
This was our first accommodation in El Chalten and the hosts were incredibly welcoming. All spoke really good English, nothing seemed to be too much to ask. They had great recommendations for hikes, restaurants and arranged any transfers we needed. They provided us with weather forecasts for each day and lunchboxes for hikes from a local bakery. (We bought one for the Fitz Roy hike and it was brilliant)
Room was clean and comfortable, had a little hanging space for clothes, kettle and tea/coffee. Was perfect for my mum and I.
I can say that is really cozy hostel! Perfect cleanliness! Excellent position! Very worm and homely atmosphere, specially during the breakfast time )) Girls from reception have a very personal attitude to towards every client and are really very helpful. Great work! I strongly recommend this hostel for everyone who wants to have a good time in El Chalten! Thank you for hospitality. ))
The hotel, facilities, and staff were all fabulous. The large windows with the valley view was an unforgetable way of greeting the morning. Breakfast was ample, wide choices, and high quality. Dinner was fabulous. The jacuzzi/hot tub with the mountain view was a perfect way to relax after hiking. The staff were great. Location was perfect, particulalry with a car.
Very good hostel. Dorm room was clean and comfortable. Lockers, clean bathroom with hot water, WiFi, heat, kitchen available. It’s advertised as without breakfast but there is actually some breakfast provided which was surprisingly acceptable. Good common areas - even had billiards and table tennis. Very good hostel value in $ El Chalten.
A very nice hotel that is very functional in design like it was designed by a traveler. A simple thing like two luggage racks, a shower curtain that covers the entire length of the shower makes a lot of differences. Add to that, the staff was exceptionally friendly, making you feel like they are welcoming you to to their place.
The team is amazing! helped me in the last minute to fix my trekking poles which weren’t functioning and gave me new ones when we couldn’t fix my own, so grateful for that! beside that the rooms are super clean and comfortable and the breakfast is very good, the best guest house I have been in Argentina !
The location is on the main strip of hotels and hostels, so it’s convenient.
Rooms are tight but beds were comfortable. I had the top bunk and felt a little wobble climbing up and being on top. The washrooms are spacious, with wide shower stalls and changing area.
Great location. The hotel is within 5 minutes walking distance to Laguna de Los Tres trailhead and the main street with plenty of options for food. Rooms were small but comfy. We like the spacious common area where you meet with a large group of friends.
The location close to Laguna Torre trail and the central area of El Chalten . The staff were very friendly and helpful and the lounge/coffee shop was a comfortable place to hang out. Breakfasts were very good.
The daily breakfast service was delicious and convenient. Dario, the hotel manager, was very polite and helpful. We also loved the location, which was walkable to terrific restaurants, bars, and trailheads.
The bedroom was comfortable and clean. Nice bathroom and nice breakfast! The personnel of the hotel nice. We spend a really good night there! Plus no problem of gaz like many place in El Chalten.
I loved everything about his property. They even let me check in early unlike other hotels even though you’re only there for one night/less than 24 hours.
Dont expect a big hotel, but the rooms are very nice and big, the staff is great, and the restaurant is good enough for a decent meal after a long day.
