We spent a night in goris after visiting tatev monastery that day it was covered with mist so we could not have a clear view of the monastery but still we enjoyed the fresh air of goris and the nearby shaki waterfall

Goris is one of the least discovered places in Armenia by tourists. I would say it is the only city with original architecture surviving. The scenery is outstanding and you see greens everywhere you walk. The pointy rocks in the mountains are unique. People are very friendly BUT the taxi drivers charge tourists double! Make sure you have a taxi app like Yandex.

This town is situated in valley with many moutains around. There are many restaurants and other landmarks. This is close Tatev.

Goris is a great base for exploring nearby towns and monasteries. Do get a marshrutka timetable from the information centre (open mon to fri) as there are several different bus companies and you might not get all the information from a particular marshrutka office.

One of the best place in Armenia for a very natural view . Supermarkets are really affordable . Drawback is communication in English. Rest you can get everything in center of Goris except the supermarkets beside the hotel. Very clean and smooth roads. Swinging bridge is one of the tourist attraction.
The location of the hotel was very nice. Walkable to the city center.
The hosts are lovely and would take care of you very nicely.
The lady makes all the food herself and it's super delicious. I could hardly believe that it was homemade. We liked her baklava so much that we requested her to pack us some for our trip further and she happily obliged.
On the last morning there my daughter fell sick and the owner made sure she made her some herbal tea which was very very nice of her. Just the touch that made our stay extra special.
A very, very memorable travel experience, the host's family is very kind! ! ! It really made us appreciate the enthusiasm and simplicity of the Armenian people! The hotel's breakfast is very delicious, and the barbecue made by the host is also delicious. When we left, the boss also carried our luggage for us and took us to the station, which made us very touched! This was one of my best travel experiences! This is an unmissable hotel in Armenia ：）
This is by far the best hotel where we stayed in hole Armenia, and very good price to quality ratio. The owners are very helpful and they gave us good prices for taxis and guides, who are all part of the same family. Everyone took us in like we were family. The food was tasty. The hotel is in a very beautiful location and it’s quiet at night. Also the interior is very detailed and beautiful. I would highly recommend staying here!
Staff was attentive, very friendly and spoke English. The food in the restaurant was excellent (most likely the best in Goris as we did try two other restaurants). Breakfast buffet was quite generous. The outdoor space is also wonderful to relax or have lunch/dinner. During our stay, we also met the owner and even after a very short chat it's easy to see that he and his family put a lot of love into Hotel Mirhav.
Amazing place in the heart of Goris. I would undoubtedly recommend anyone to have a stay here, if they are seeking for peace, nature, comfort and a true rest. The yard is completing the vacation by its miraculous atmosphere. The rooms are comfy, and the food is wonderful.
The guesthouse is also on one of the central streets of Goris, so almost everything is in a walking distance from it.
Hotel Mira is an absolute 10 in all aspects. The hotel has a perfect location and the room was super comfortable and clean. The service was the best in all of Armenia, which is saying a lot, and the breakfasts were simply delicious and abundant. In addition, the hotel has a wonderful garden to relax.

Marietta is the loveliest lady in the whole of Armenia. Wish we could have stayed for longer than only 2 nights.
Btw, definitely recommend to order dinner from Marietta. It was an exceptional experience - amazing food, wine and fruit vodka (all homemade!!)

Bicycle traveller - you can safely leave your bicycle in the garden-like yard.
The location is quite, not far from the grocery stores. The hostel is indeed "lovely" and cosy, with some decorative items of Armenian folklore. The host is friendly and helpful.
The host there is great. Marietta is a great cook. Definitely go for having breakfast and dinner as well. You can enjoy the taste of Armenia. Goris is a really good place to stay when you want to do some trips around.
The room was large and great for my family of 4. Breakfast was the traditional Armenian spread and when my kids wouldn't eat something the hosts were quick to offer something else for them.
Lovely people, they are so kind! Great homemade breakfast. The property is beautiful and the room was comfortable for a few nights. Very close to the city center of Goris.
The room was cozy the owners were nice and helpful. It is a true authentic house of Armenian as the name states. I am defenitely going to stay here again.
