José, the guesthouse owner, went out of his way to make us comfortable, including bringing us into town to a recommended place for dinner and more. The guesthouse is located in a beautiful part of Portugal, and the guesthouse itself is exceptional. Everything we needed was there - hot showers, spacious interior, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, well thought through interior, and availability of a pool with waterfall feature and outside seating to take in the sunsets.

The farmhouse was exceptional. To be in a 500+year old building for us Australians was a rare treat. The staff went above and beyond for us, so friendly, accommodating and generous. Great company, fantastic room, beautiful grounds and pool, comfy four poster bed and the breakfast was spectacular. Couldn't fault it and we will definitely be back for a winter escape as we could imagine in the cold, with the fires lit, it would be so cozy and atmospheric. We absolutely loved it.

Beautiful surroundings, park full of flowers and plants, pool with shady areas and lots of peace. The breakfast was astonishing and served on the terrace. Excellent wine, incredible location full of history. Our room had a canopied bed, what a childhood dream! Guimaraes with its many restaurants and beautiful old town is just a 15 minute drive away. However, it's also possible to get lunch and dinner at the Casa - you can order it in the office. We were so happy in this little paradise, we didn't want to leave.
