A real privilege to stay in a wonderful location with such a welcoming host. The house is so tastefully furnished, comfortable and full of charm. The breakfast table was beautifully laid out which made the excellent and generous breakfast such a pleasure. This was our second visit and we hope to return.

Lovely B&B, beautifully decorated, good-sized rooms with en-suite. The breakfast was great (although served from 8 am onward), and the staff friendly and helpful. It is not a hotel, so the rooms are not cleaned during your stay (I stayed 4 nights). The location is great, within walking distance from the station and the city centre.
The Old Post Office offers a pleasant village setting just 20 minutes’ drive from the historic city of Durham.

Really nicely decorated. Very clean and presentable. It felt very homely. Lots of nice touches like several types of coffee.

Heather was very helpful and responsive. The beds were comfy and the kitchen well equipped. It didn't take long to get into Durham and is very close to Ushaw College and Chapels.
The view of the fields and sheep was delightful.

The house was excellent. Roomy, clean, fully outfitted kitchen, bedrooms upstairs and quiet. everything we wanted.
We stayed outside of Durham city center. The house is ideally located. Bus stop minutes away and a 15 min ride to downtown Durham (old town). Walk in minutes to Morrisons Daily grocery store.
It was raining hard and they let us in early. Also let us check-out an hour late.
The cottage was delightful, spotlessly clean, well equipped and as cosy as promised. The owner Heather was extremely helpful and the goodies on arrival were a lovely treat. We certainly hope to be able to stay here again in the near future
Great location, lovely country setting, just 30 minutes to Seaham for a lovely coastal walk and only 10 mins in to Durham by very reliable taxi, so much cheaper to do this than pay for the expensive accommodation in Durham. The accommodation was very well presented and comfortable
