The pub is delightful and we had a lovely lunch. My reason for scoring slightly lower is our disappointment with the original room we were allocated. Room 10 avoid at all costs!!! We made jokes about it being the penthouse room on the way up the countless number of stairs however the joke backfired because not only was it literally on and overlooking the roof we suddenly realised the imposing noise we could hear was from all extractors/generators outside our bedroom windows on the roof !! This is not a budget hotel, we paid approximately £450 for 2 nights RO. I immediately contacted reception to advise there was no way I was prepared to stay in this room and would find it impossible to sleep with the noise penetrating into it. I have to say they were very good and luckily managed to move us to a superior room but my point is this room should either be heavily discounted with some advice on view and noise issues. Had there not been another room available we would have been in trouble.

On balance, not a lot after how our experience ended, however credit where credit is due and that is for those who served us dinner and drinks who went above and beyond. Saskia among them. They were more in line with how we imagined the Manor House.

The cottage was fantastic. The bedrooms were big with beautiful en suite bathrooms in each (the sunken bath was a great feature). Very comfy beds. The whole cottage was very clean, cosy and warm with an adjustable heating system.
The TV's in each room had a good selection of channels. WiFi connection good.
Nice quiet village location and the bonus of an allocated parking space directly outside.
Good food at the Fox pub at the end of the street and only a 15 minute drive into Bath.
Steeped in history and a fantastic location. A charming cottage and village with a great feel and everything you need for your time in the Cotswolds. Close to everything that we wanted to see. ❤️❤️
We stayed at the barn for a birthday weekend, the location and access to the property is ideal, and the surrounding village is welcoming. The cottage itself was Cozy, clean and comfortable and provided us with the perfect place to relax as a family with our dogs as well! We will definitely be returning in the future!
Amazing barn in a fantastic location. The barn was very well equipped, especially for our little one year old, clean, warm and lovely garden. Lots of walks on your doorstep and only 15 min drive to Bath. We couldn’t ask for more and will definitely be back.
