The setting was beautiful and there was plenty for the family to do. Games, books, three pools and a jacuzzi. The Gites are rustic with modern appliances. Comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff were so accommodating and pleasant.

The location is very quiet, 3-4 houses and just a small country road going through. You get a feeling as to how it could have been, living in parts of a castle. All in all the restoration really succeded in giving authenticity to the whole living quarter. Of course there are modern things,parts of the kitchen, parts of the bathroom, central heating( radiators hidden in corners) so at least it wasn't that cold as it usually would have been in a castle like this.(and you would have needed a lot of wood to really fire up the place). The garden was nice and quiet, tranquil even. The hosts were very friendly ,spoke english so all is not lost if your french is a bit lacking. They are also commited in continuing the family heritage. All in all a very idyllic place and the best choice if you want to experience something of the ordinary...
