Beautiful old building on the outside, modern and bright on the inside. My room overlooked a small stream. Excellent bed, great bathroom facilities. Excellent toiletries. Simple, modern clothes storage area. Teapot, teas and sugar provided in each room Coffee available all day at the sitting room on upper floor. Phenomenal breakfast choices. More selections of cheeses and meats than I have seen at any other hotel I have visited. Home made cakes, wonderful whole grain bread, rolls, local marmalades and honey. Great choice of cereals. Eggs cooked to order. Great coffee selection. Modern, fine art on the walls.

I absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Hammer, I can warmly recommend this place to anyone. The staff and owners are incredibly friendly and service oriented. We arrived late in the evening and they had already prepared our key in a key box but ended up waiting for us anyways and helped us with all the luggage we had. We traveled with out 9Month old daughter and as requested they prepared a cot, upgraded us to a beautiful bigger sized room and were just super friendly and helpful with everything. One of the hightlights is the style of the whole hotel, with is antique parkett floors, Kachelofen and gorgeous old furniture. Its rare to find such tastefully furnished / well maintained hotels.
