This guesthouse is very well located, close to beautiful Alishan hikes. Our room was very clean and spacious. The owner took every opportunity to make us feel welcome, and went out of his way to provide us with hike and sunrise information. He and his wife also took time to allow us to taste their tea, which was very good.

The nearest airport is Chiayi, 42 km from the accommodation, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. We loved our stay at Walking in the Clouds BnB. It is a lovely BnB tucked in the mountains of the Alishan region. It has an incredible view with large, well equipped rooms. The hosts are so welcoming and kind. They are really helpful and generous and made sure we had everything we needed and more for our stay. The breakfast and dinner were exceptional- we particularly loved the hotpot dinner and ice cream freezer!
Chiayi City
The spacious chalet is located on the ground floor and is fitted with 3 bedrooms, a flat-screen TV with streaming services and a fully equipped kitchen that provides guests with a fridge, a stovetop, a washing machine and kitchenware. Towels and bed linen are offered in the chalet. For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing.

My go to place if I need to catch the early train to Alishan. Shuttle from HSR to the interchange is super convenient, and the hotel is just a few steps away from where you get off. Third time here, everything is perfect, Staff are helpful with late check-in, really appreciate your kind assistance with payment since it’s not so straightforward to transfer money from an overseas account to local bank. Been to countless capsules/budget places both in and outside Taiwan and this is still my favourite one.
Got the herbal packs for bath in wooden tub , v comfortable, got free tour around hotel, one of the lady staff was v nice to fetch me from shizhao bus stop area when the bus timing didnt go fen chi hu anymore.
Right in the middle of all the action. A interesting hotel with a lot of retro feel. The kids enjoyed their soak in the wooden bath tub. The room is very big too.
Perfect location just in front of the railways station and the shuttle bus to Alishan. I had a breakfast before my hike to Alishan and Tashan trail. A must.
Amazing view, amazing hosts who really went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, amazing location but might need to walk 20 mins uphill. The hosts provide free shuttle down to the Main Street if they are available. The breakfast is delicious. The room is spacious and comfortable. Spacious shower. Owners also sell tea and provide tea tastings!

Given a complimentary upgrade to our twin bedroom. Very comfortable bed, better than those in Taipei. The hotel shuttle service was not available in am, hotel got taxi for us to train station, paid by hotel. A good spread of breakfast was served. Thank you for your good service.
Beautiful an relaxing environment! Gorgeous buildings and room, all wooden made. Huge balcony. Gigantic and very cozy bedroom, and bathroom. Bed is extra comfortable. Very nice and helpful staff. Really interesting workshop and store.
