We even got blankets to chill on one of the many couches when it got chilly in the evening. The pool is great, big and clean. The room was nice and generous. The food was incredible! Great portions and super yummy for an affordable price. They also had no issues preparing something vegetarian for us. We loved the breakfast as well, it was the best we had during our entire 2-month vacation.

After full day of hiking, it feel amazing to relax in the thermal pools of the hostel. Room was quaint, located in a refurbished galvanised roof building. Food was tasty and nourishing. Really special sitting out with a beer, star gazing at this hostel. 100% recommend, you won't be disappointed.

We saw condors and eagles throughout the entire day. The bed was comfortable, and the blankets kept us warm. The water from the shower was hot. It was a wonderful stay!

If you would like to discover the area, hiking is possible in the surroundings. we were three friends doing the Colca Canyon together and booked at the tropical lodge. We had a nice welcome from Alfredo and the staff. The rooms are basic but with a sufficient comfort to rest after a trek, and the shower is nice and warm. The place is really nice with a access to the river where it is possible to swim, and to the swimming pool with a nice temperature. Ideal to have a resting moment after the hard walk ! Alfredo prepares meals for 25 soles and there’s beers and a tiny tienda to buy stuff. Definitely a heaven’s place in a nice landscape !

Wonderful location, rooms look like they are brand new, clean, excellent bathroom with hot shower, very well working wifi, kind staff, great swimming pool!

Cabanaconde can be reached in 3 hours, by foot, horse or mule only. Nice swimming pool. Good room with comfortable bed. Great place to rest after a Colca Canyon trek. Simple but good dinner. Great pancakes for breakfast!
