Arawe is a newly renovated 150-year old nature cottage located around 400m from the centre of Ella.

The cottage stands on a 5-acre land overlooking a rice paddy field and is the only guest accommodation on the property. An absolutely exceptional property set in a perfect spot. The photos do not do it justice. The hosts were amazing. We even had a cooking class and invited others we met on our travels. Very accomodating and helpful

The whole experience was really amazing. Before we arrived, we were contacted so that we could be picked up from Ella train station, with clear instructions. We were also running a bit late and could pre-order from their restaurant. When we got there, the whole team of staff were so friendly and kind, helping us with luggage, letting us know what we could do and arranging transport. They work with particular tuk tuk drivers that they feel offer good service and that they trust. The meals were delicious, in particular the breakfasts. The room that we got was spacious and had all the facilities that we needed. There were plenty aircon so we weren't too hot. It is in the middle of nature so there can be some tiny insects about- but we loved that. All in all a really wonderful time and I couldn't recommend enough.

This house is build by the owner, only from wood. You are completely surrounded by nature and you can hear the river. The breakfast is very good and the owner is extremly kind, he will help you with his tuk tuk for a lower price. I will recommend this acommodation to all of my friends who will come to Sri Lanka💛

One of our best stays on Sri Lanka! Stuff amazing, they offering free pick up and drop off for check in and check out. Owners will do everything for you to make your holidays easy and smooth! We asked for tuk tuk for round trip, they found best price for us, we asked about taxi to Yala - they found the best price for us. Anything we need they helped with! And you are in the middle of forest, no rush, just trees, monkeys and few other animals. Really nice stay we enjoyed and would recommend to everybody. Thank you again for everything you did for us.
