Fuji, and a 270-minute hike from its summit. It's a hut on mount Fuji, kinda a once in a lifetime thing. And 150 dollars for two people is pretty great. Food was tasty, it was warm inside, the mood was great, and the beds weren't too bad. Much more comfortable and private than the higher stations

Very clean inside cabin. The restaurant is cozy and great food. The owner takes pride in this place and it shows. Gave us pet food bowls and towels for our dogs upon arrival. Right across from the lake.

Location is great, shuttle is fast
Free shuttle, comfortable room
The location was great - easy walking distance to the lake, free shuttle bus to the station. Hotel was good value - nothing fancy, but appropriate for the price.
Appreciated opportunity to drop-off backpack and check-in early | functional kitchen, solid WiFi, warm shower, comfortable living room, coffee/tea provided | 30-minute walk to local bus station, owner also offers pick-up/drop-off shuttle service, close to major grocery store | cool overnight temps, appreciated two blankets on the bed and space heater in the room, also the buckwheat hull pillow was really comfortable | thank you for a nice stay |
The breakfast and dinner in style kaiseki are very delicious and comfortable. The onsen on basement is big but for 7th which is smaller having the great view of the lake. The staff of the hotel is friendly and diligent. There is a shuttle van from train station to the hotel @ platform 10.

Gran Tocoro was phenomenal. Everything was very nice, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The food was incredible, but come very hungry (if you ordered the meal) because there was a TON of food. The sauna was such a great addition and really added to our experience. The staff was so accommodating they even drove us into town when we missed the shuttle. They also provided luggage forwarding for us with ease.
Lovely hotel! Had a shuttle car take me from the train station. Getting around the lake from there is very nice, either with bus, or your own transportation method. The staff were really nice! The breakfast and dinner were both excellent and big traditional services. My room was very nice with a lovely view. I also used the public bath and it was lovely, looks nice, great view, well maintained and clean.
Absolutely authentic and cozy wooden Japanese hut with vintage spirit all over the place. Definitely worth it for those who don't like fancy places, also it's pretty isolated and close to the japanese national trail. Everything was provided, the food at the restaurant was really tasty, and the portions were big.
