Located in San Pedro de Atacama, 300 meters from the bus station and from the craftsmen village, and 900 meters from the city center, Hostal Montepardo offers tranquility, comfort and Chilean hospitality. Rodrigo (owner? Staff?) went above and beyond to help me plan my time at San Pedro - from booking shuttles from and to the airport, to scheduling tours and patiently answering all my questions and making all the changes due to my flight time changed. I sincerely thank him for taking so much time to make sure my plans were in order. I also have to mention the lovely female staff member who works on the property. Despite our language barrier, she was so caring and tried her best to provide support throughout my stay. I regret that I didn’t give her a hug before leaving for the airport. The hostel itself is so charming - the decor is lovely, the room is clean and comfortable, the breakfast was nutritious. Overall I had an amazing experience at the hostel. I will be sure to recommend the hostel to any friends traveling this way!

Free breakfast is included and served in the breakfast area. Franklin and his wife Carla run an amazing B&B, a little outside the city which makes it a very good spot for star gazing. Since we came by ourselves with a rented car, Franklin gave us very good tips of where to go, suggesting routes, helping us with purchasing tickets for the places we wanted to go and giving us restaurant recommendations. Breakfast is generous and personalized and even when we needed to leave very early one day, they made an effort to leave a snack for us to go.
