The place was absolutely breathtaking! It was even better than the pictures. Everything met our expectations and more. The jacuzzi was fantastic and easy to control. The cabin was stunning. And the shower is definitely my favourite. My partner and I explored the surrounding farms and forests and even met some of the cows. Lize is an amazing host. We will definitely be coming back soon. Totally recommend this place to anyone looking for an escape with peace, beautiful scenery and fresh air.

everything felt so considered. from the linen to the curated art on the walls to the fresh flowers and stacked wood for both the indoor fire and outside Weber. the outside deck is the perfect place to read and listen to the forest sounds. The rooms are so lovely and dark at night with no light pollution. The outside bath amongst the spearmint and delicious monsters was a treat. the kitchen is well appointed and we were able to prep and cook and plate delicious meals over the festive season. Our hosts who live on the premises popped in to welcome us and Hannes and DP personally delivered a beautiful homemade Christmas tree to us on Christmas Eve. The garden is designed with indigenous plants and trees to give the cottage privacy on the premises. Location is adjacent to the goudveld state forest that we rode and hiked in daily. Being pet friendly meant we could have our dog with us with who integrated well with the friendly dogs loving on the premises. We loved out 6 night stay and hope to find a gap in the diary to go back soon.

The staff was lovely and the lodging was surprisingly nice, we had a two-storey chalet with very nice view. Breakfast was very good and abundant. The place was located close to the centre of Knysna (but you would need a car to get I to town).
