We stayed in spacious, well-equipped apartments that had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cozy veranda added to the atmosphere, and we enjoyed having tea there in the evenings.
We were very pleased with the hostess—she was friendly and hospitable. The day before our departure, she brought us a plate of delicious fruits (papaya and watermelon) as a gift. Unfortunately, we had to leave half of it behind because we couldn't finish it all.
The location is excellent; there's a bus stop nearby, and if you walk down the road, you can find a supermarket with a good selection.
We highly recommend this place!

Absolutely fantastic little chalet with everything you need, even some food and little wine in the fridge. We were very happy we stayed here. Of course you need a car, but you need this at Mahe anyway if you want to see something from the island and not only stay at the beach.

An amazing place set in quiet and safe Anse La Mouche. sepnt a week here with my 16 year-old son. Friendly and helpful owner who made us feel welcome right from the start. Super cosy cabanas set in an absolutely awesome jungle garden full of birds, flying foxes, geckos…as well as the owner's two cute pet dogs. Self catering with a fully equipped garden kitchen suited us perfectly. 5 min walk to Supermarket, restaurants, bus stop and the lovely calm beach. Overall the area is very calm, quiet and safe. We did a lot of walking and the traffic was no problem. I'll come back, first chance I get.

Everything was perfect. ❤️ Our host Jacqueline was welcoming and helpful and always available to answer questions. Quiet area with private pool and terrace for personal use. Clean and well maintained. A lot of extras supplied in kitchen tea coffee etc. Very comfortable. A very nice supermarket and take out food close by. A great view of the bay from the terrace.
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
The hosts - Marlene and David were absolutely wonderful. Very accommodating, and thoughtful (Marlene left us some breakfast in the room which we thought was very kind). The garden hut has all the facilities that you need. Comfortable and quiet, great location, close to the restaurants and local bars. Wish we stayed there longer! Next time!
I was flying into the Seychelles on December 21 and looking for a small hotel near the port to stay overnight before joining my cruise ship on the 22nd. The Ridge Residence was ideal. They organised a shuttle pick up from the airport and let me check in early so I could rest after two long flights from the UK. The next morning I had the same taxi driver to take me to the cruise terminal.
This is an excellent choice for accommodation in Mahe. Close to the bus stop but in a quiet location, the hut is spacious and features a nice veranda. The tortoises in the back yard are so cool. But the hosts are the best - Marlene and David go the extra mile to make their guests feel welcome. They welcomed us with coconuts and a basket fruit. Tea, coffee and toast for breakfast are also provided. Their service was really 5-star. The only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Thank you for your hospitality!
We spent one night at Garden Hut before catching an early flight back home the morning after. The owner were super helpful, Marlene gave us some fresh lemongrass to prepare a tisane and left fresh bread and fruit in the kitchen for a quick breakfast. They helped us to book a car with their son’s rental company. Marlene’s husband took us to the airport. The review is more about the people rather than the place!The room was clean and private. The bathroom and kitchen (even if it was small) were modern and clean.
The garden hut has really beautiful and tidy environment. It has many plants and flowers and even two big turtles. Host are extremely helpful with all the questions you have. If you need any guidence they will certainly go an extra mile trying to assist you. They can help you with the fruits you bought for example opening the coconut properly and even share some of their own fruits from the garden. I certainly can promise you will miss them so much!
Lovely one bedroom villa with nice front deck, full kitchen. A/C in bedroom only. Ceiling fan in living room. Just steps to beautiful beach. Breakfast brought to your door each morning. 2 restauramts in nearby town offer free shuttle service for dinner. Also, hotel 5 mins down the beach has good restaurant. Staff can arramge tours.
Daphne was a welcoming host. She offered helping us with organising different trips.
When we arrived earlier, she proposed us towels for the beach.
Even airport shuttle or ferry shuttle in her private car for a decent price
My sister and I stayed at Mountain Top Chalet for 8 days. We spent a wonderful time there! It is a beautiful and quiet place with an incredible hostess. Daphnée is such an amazing woman. She is so caring and kind. And she cooks very well. 😋 She made us discover seychellois meals. She also guided us for our Seychelles visit. It was such a great experience!
The view at Mountain Top Chalet is gorgeous. You have to experience it.
