This house was great. The owner Jorge, and his son Daniel were very friendly and helpful. Jorge spoke very good english, and his son Daniel spoke perfect english. We expressed an interest in food to them, and they made some great suggestions, and even did something more personal for us. The house was very large, but also very clean, which is somewhat rare for a large rental house. The materials used in the recent refurbishment were high quality, and didn't feel "cheap". There was excellent water pressure in the showers, and plenty of hot water for showers. The internet is fiber, and I got approximately 100mbps, with 6ms latency. The daily fresh bread delivery was perfect for us. The house is about 10 minutes from the main city of Braganca, but it is an easy drive, and we didn't miss being IN the city.

Looking for a cabin?

For active travelers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and with kitchen facilities, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found other places in the world. Characterized by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing vacations.

A charming period property close to the citadel and the old town. We found it surprisingly easy to park nearby on the street. The owners were very helpful and the breakfast, including homemade jams and chutneys, was superb.

A pleasant stay with helpful staff and an owner who is a great host. Well maintained property and facilities. We arrived soaked after a long motorcycle ride. The staff let us leave out clothes in a warm place to dry overnight as there was no space in the cabin. The cabin was very well insulated and warm - we had to switch the heater off ! Food was nice - especially considering we were the lasts guests of the season.

Location was very good with a bar and supermarket adjacent to hotel. Staff were excellent spoke English very well and gave us ideas of restaurant locations. Room was average size, seemed dark on entering but once metal shutters were raised it was quite bright. Bathroom was adequate and very clean. The hotel is obviously a few years old and could do with a make over but it is what it is. Breakfast on top floor was excellent as was choice. Good views too. Parking underground was helpful too.

The staff was very helping and gave me some advice about restaurants in the area, the breakfast was very nice and had plenty of choice, 15 minutes away from Bragança, very calm and quiet, during the night there may be some dogs barking but after shutting the windows it was okay. Very nice restored building. Nice play to take some rest away from the city center.

The check-in could be done completely online before hand what resulted very convenient. The bathroom was very nice with very comfortable shower cabin. The restaurant O Abel is at the same location resulting very convenient to have a very tasty local meal before going to rest. To our purpose (and travelling by car), the location was very convenient because it allowed us to visit not only Bragança but also the nearby villages and Montesinho Natural Park.

Very beautiful location at the fringe of the national park. At night the owls replaced the cars you'd hear in the distance during daytime. Staff is very friendly and forthcoming. Very beautiful perspective out of the window into the woods and cozy comfy feel in the micro hut.

Fantastic location next to the castle. Short walk into town for shops etc. (With heavy luggage, beware, very very hard to wheel on the cobbles). Lovely little appartment with everything you might need. Breakfast was in the taverna across the street - we were told 9:30am but when we got there it was shut which was disconcerting. We rang up and he arrived soon after and the breakfast was good. We waited a long while for the lady to come with the keys (about 25 minutes) but I did miss an email to whatsapp her because I had no internet.
