Looking for a cabin?
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

Stayed here 6 years ago and it was good then. With the addition of the riverside chalets even better. Very friendly staff not only at reception but throughout. Restaurant serves very good meals.

This lodge is located at the Popa falls. Great views on the small waterfalls. Every cabin has its own deck with a lot of privacy. The food was excellent with nice wines for a reasonable price. They are taking good care of you.

This was our third visit to Shametu and it did not disappoint! We have camped before in the fantastic campsites but this time opted for a tented chalet on the river. Beautiful spacious accommodation with the HUGE bonus of zircon. We stayed on a half board basis and the food was very good. Great choice of wines too! We took one of our breakfasts on the river at a small extra charge. Well worth it! Tranquil with sightings of hippo, crocodile and a myriad of birds all pointed out to us by our excellent guide.

Attention for detail. Chalets looking out over the river (ours did, make sure to ask for this as there are also rooms that have a garden view). Good veg menu. Very large bed.

An excellent hotel with helpful and polite staff. The room, which was a chalet was excellent. It was big and clean with a great view to the river. The swimming pool was very good with view to the river as well. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. The parking was in the premises.
