Looking for a cabin?

For active travelers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and with kitchen facilities, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found other places in the world. Characterized by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing vacations.

The staff and fellow guests made our stay. The set up is communal with all guests eating at the same time. The internet only works in this communal space. Turning that negative into a positive means it is a gathering place not only at mealtimes but at all times and people get to know each other. Spotlessly clean throughout, nice beds and pillows, good air con in the chalets. Food loving prepared by a Filipino lady, buffet style . A variety of activities on offer and flexible. Khai a great guide, very knowledgeable.

Room was clean, comfortable bed/linens and great aircon and fan for cooling options. Food was good, portions were huge and lots of veggies and fruit for lunch/dinner. Our boat guide Irfan was amazing at spotting animals and we were lucky to see the Borneo Big 5. The ladies running the lodge are all so lovely, highly recommend their hospitality. Bring lots of bug spray for the mozzies and don’t expect WiFi in your chalet - it’s the jungle!

Useful location 5 mins from the airport and 20 mins from Sepilok nature. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable with a good air con system. There was free water. Staff were friendly and offer free airport shuttle service if you arrive before evening. Overall, a useful base for a night or two stay.

The resort was very close to the sun bear and orangutan centres which were exactly what we visited Sepilok for. We arrived before check-in time but the staff were kind enough to allow us to check in early at no extra charge. We booked a room for 3 people and paid the extra bed fee but were given a chalet MUCH larger than expected.
