Boasting a PS4, the spacious chalet has a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, an oven and a microwave, a living room with a seating area and a dining area, 2 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom with a hot tub and a bath. Towels and bed linen are offered in the chalet. The property has an outdoor dining area.

The lodge we booked was absolutely stunning. Every little detail was thought through, from the light fittings to the decoration elements. We could easily have stayed for a whole week or longer. The lodge had a little parking bay, which was perfect to park our car during the night. It also features a big porch and small garden with high hedges to offer privacy. The hot tub was placed under a roof, so bad weather didn't bother us and it was super private, as it was located at the side of a house and next to a hedge. There were two bedrooms and one family bathroom in the lodge. The whole accommodation was super modern, while really cozy at the same time. The electric fireplace was a key highlight, as well as the added bonus of the Christmas tree. The kitchen was fully fitted with a washing machine/ dryer, dishwasher and all other cooking utentils that we needed. High Oaks was in easy driving distance to shops, restaurants and parks/ places to walk the dog. We came in our car, so I cannot comment on public transport. Not a complaint per se, but a blind at the front door would be a nice add on, as all other windows had blinds and the bathroom is opposite the front door. Otherwise, we cannot recommend this place any more.

Offering a garden and garden view, Salton Lodge is located in Salton, 26 km from Dalby Forest and 40 km from York Minster. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 12 km from Flamingo Land Theme Park.

We stayed at Salton Lodge for 2 nights, the location is lovely, all the way up in the howardian hills, there is soooo much space and plenty of bedrooms. The outside area is huge and loved that there was already a BBQ and fire pit there too. Beds were extremely comfortable and the house was kitted out with everything you needed

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

Tracey was a brilliant host and the location of the site was excellent, a few minutes walk and you were in the town. The site its self was spacious and secluded considering its position, within Pickering. through the trees you could see and hear the steam trains from the NYMR, sleeping in a Sheppard's hut accompanied by the music of the trains took us back to a bygone time. We will go back and stay there again.

The cabin was immaculate and worked really well for myself and my niece. The bunk beds in the wall were a very clever idea to make use of the space.

Beautiful surroundings, comfy hut, and lots of cooking stuff provided for your stay. We didn't realise you had to bring our own bedding, but our host was lovely and brought us some across. Such peaceful surroundings and lovely walk into Pickering. Trains in and out were great to watch. Perfect for a getaway for two.

The location was next to the North York Moors Railway and Pickering beck in the centre of Pickering. perfect for the early departure @0920 to Whitby. The shepherds hut was very cosy and warm the only down side is that there was no coat hooks for hanging things and no reading lamp as there is no mains power just solar fairy lights but a battery operated bed head lamp would be ideal apart from that everything was as it says on the tin
