We loved our 4 days at the Smugglers Hide. It is a beautifully redeveloped fisherman’s cottage 10m from the harbour promenade in St Ives. It is very well furnished and equipped. It’s lovely and cosy. 2min walk to the Sloop Inn and all decent restaurants and pubs/bars are within 10min walk.

My husband and I recently spent two unforgettable nights at this charming holiday property in Cornwall, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beautiful natural surroundings. Nestled in the heart of the Cornish countryside, this property is a true haven for nature lovers. The tranquility of the area was exactly what we needed for a relaxing break. Surrounded by lush greenery and stunning landscapes, we felt completely immersed in the beauty of nature. Each morning, we enjoyed our coffee on the patio, soaking in the peaceful ambiance and listening to the sounds of birds chirping—truly a perfect way to start the day. The property itself was absolutely lovely, combining the charm of a cozy retreat with all the modern comforts we could need. It was spotless and thoughtfully decorated, making us feel right at home. What made our stay even more special was our host. From the moment we booked, they were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to offer helpful tips and recommendations. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced our stay, making us feel like we were staying with old friends. They were attentive without being intrusive, which we greatly appreciated. The location was also ideal, offering easy access to some of Cornwall’s most beautiful attractions while still providing a peaceful retreat to return to at the end of the day. In summary, our stay at this holiday property was nothing short of perfect. With its beautiful surroundings, comfortable accommodations, and a host who goes above and beyond, it’s a place we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating escape in Cornwall. We can't wait to return!

Looking for a cabin?
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

This was a very different type of accomodation, but great nonetheless. It's a few metal cabins in a car park but they've been designed inside to look very nice that you wouldn't even know. We booked the Hideaway cabin which I think was the best one - it was very spacious, private, and had a view facing St Michaels Mount island.

Quaint 1820’house. Nicely modernised ,however No outdoor code sent until I phoned proprietor and I arrived on time at 8pm. Room handles were latch type and had no mechanism so was very confusing to me. Should have simple cabinet handles. Don’t ask to input all this again

This cabin and shepherds hut complex is out of the way for private travellers to Scilly and hikers to Mounts View. Very quiet indeed. Locals on the way to badminton gave me a lift. Proper old Cornwall in a farming setting. No chip shop, minibar, swimming pool, no smoking area, no hassle. Great if you are driving.

Elestren is a lovely little wooden hut set in beautiful grounds, with its own secluded garden. The amenities are exactly what is required; shower, working kitchen area, wooden stove heater, comfortable double bed. Its close to Penzance and has a beach and a cove within a few miles. There are places to eat within walking distance, a spar shop, a garage. There are so many beautiful places within 10 miles that it makes this a lovely, affordable bolt hole for great days out.
