The outside area is huge and loved that there was already a BBQ and fire pit there too. Beds were extremely comfortable and the house was kitted out with everything you needed

    We arrived close to the expected time and received a warm welcome. Our stay was in a chalet block across the yard with parking outside the front door. The standard of food from the kitchen was excellent. Dinner and breakfast was relaxed, tasty and very enjoyable. Kirbymoorside is a good base for Pickering, Whitby and the near-by coast.

    everything about the Shepherds hut was my cup of tea, the owners were lovely. Has it’s own little outside enclosure for the dog👍 This was just a last minute short getaway so next time will stay longer and take my MTB and explore Dalby Forest and surrounding trails🤪👍

    friendly and helpful staff comfortable room come and go as I pleased plenty of tea and coffee loved the shutters as well as curtains across the window to keep the room dark at night

    This place is a little gem ....hosts lovely. location good , room exceptional with great attention to detail and the best breakfast ever to start your day!!! l would highly recommend and definitely return. Lovely villages nearby too, Hutton Le Hole and Lastingham definitely worth a visit and only a short journey to Pickering and Dalby Forest.
