For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
The resort is newly built so everything is neat and good. I loved the Nubian style houses with red domes inside. Food is well prepared. The staff is particularly friendly, making you feel warm like in morning sunshine. Thank you all for making this place an Eden for guests.
This is a vast area that offers various venues for sports. A wooden walkway streches to the coral reef, you can do snorkeling there.
We had a lovely stay at Deep South. The huts are very cute and clean and only a short walk to the beach where there is great snorkeling! At night there is an incredible view of the stars, and the breakfast was simple and delicious. Thanks to Fady for a relaxing stay, we will definitely come again :)
The food was great and lots of variety every day. Abdul was very friendly and accommodating - he sorted taxis and got us a sim card and made us lunch when we arrived. He also brought coffee over to our chalet when we were up early for diving one morning. The accommodation is quite basic but exactly what we needed for our diving trip.
- Originally we had booked the basic hut but once we arrived we paid a bit more and got an upgrade to the little house that had a private toilet & shower (it was really worth it)!
- The owner Fadi was really friendly & helpful and gave us some good tips!
- The Deep South dive center is located down by the beach so it was really easy to go diving!
- Very peaceful & rustic experience!
- We felt that it was much better to stay at the camp in comparison to staying in the town of Marsa Alam.
