Only a 5-minute walk from Sannomiya Station, Capsule Hotel Kobe Sannomiya offers personable capsule beds for male guests only. Guests can refresh in the public baths and sauna rooms. Kobe Harbourland is a 10-minute drive away.

The hotel provided a great selection of hair care products along with it's Onsen-esque bathroom layout. Bathing was comfortable and easy. The capsules were just long enough for me (6'2")and had plenty of room to sit up. I was worried about feeling claustrophobic but was happy with how spacious the capsule was. The staff were incredibly kind and patient with explaining the amenities provided with this stay. As someone who came here for their first capsule hotel experience it is hard for me to imagine anything better than this!

Looking for a capsule hotel?

Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.

Staff were really friendly and good conversationalists. This gave a good atmosphere to the place, welcoming social space and convenient short walk to station and china street for food !

The hostel has really nice interior in what feels like a euro-Japan mix, nice kitchen, small sofa area where you can sit and read or put up your laptop, very charming bathroom with Japanese bathtub. The bunk beds are big and spacious with lots of room for your luggage. The neighbourhood is nice with lots of coffee shops and restaurants, about a 30min walk from the big shopping district.

It has 8 private onsen and the room I booked has an open Air bath. A short walk to the town centre through a short-cut path that the staff told us. Very comfortable spacious room. Best onsen hotel so far for me ! Plus the front desk staff are super friendly and helpful. He can speak both English and Mandarin which is very helpful to us who can’t speak Japanese.

I highly recommend this hotel! The personnel is so friendly and welcoming. They spent hours with me to solve my problems (lost my bag on the train) cause I couldn’t speak Japanese. Thank you sooo much !! And the view is amazing 🤩

The location is very close to the Nada station, which is convenient to get to other main stations in Kobe. The single room is spacious for one, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I joined their local food tour. It was really nice to learn about the neighbourhood around and get to interact with the shop owners. Highly recommended!

This is a luxury Onsen and worth every penny spent. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful even by Japanese standards. The (8) Private Onsen's themselves are an absolute delight and I recommend maximising your available time to sample as many of them as you can, the outside ones especially. A special mention goes to their shuttle bus service which will take you right to the door of any restaurant in town (my advice is follow their recommended venues) and pick up you again as soon as you call.

It was an excellent location to explore Kobe and was within 10 minutes walking distance of Motomachi and Chinatown. We had dinner at a Teppanyaki restaurant in the hotel, staff are very friendly, the service was excellent, and of course Japanese beef was delicious :)

Very comfortable, clean room perfect for one traveler. With more than one it would be a little tight. There was plenty of room to open my suitcase at the end of my bed, which was a nice change from some Japanese hotels. The location was very close to the station, which was very convenient. The McDonalds next door can also be convenient for breakfast or late night food. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent selection of baths available. Bar and restaurant on site, with cheap food and drinks. Towels provided. Incredibly friendly staff, very welcoming, though we were the only non-japanese people I saw there.
