First thing was a verry lovely welcome and he told us to park our Tucktuck under a roof, for it might rain. He offered to organise us a Safari for a really fair price. It was nor a problem that we spontaneously decided to have dinner there. Dinner and breakfast were just amazing! I would go so fare and say it is the best food we had in Sri Lanka so far. His wife and mother are great cooks! We enjoyed the food on our terrace with a awesome view! We were able to see all kind of beautiful birds. It is very quiet and you have a lot of privacy! It is obvious that he has a lot of experience with the hotel industry, everything was just perfect, the room was so clean and everything was taken care of. You probably think this sounds too nice, but truely, come and see yourself, just don't make the mistake we made and only book one night ;) Thanks for such a great stay, Steffi & Simon

The campground is a 30-minute drive from the main entrance of the park and a 45-minute drive from the Elephant transit home. Colombo is approximately 101 mi away while Bandaranaike International Airport is 111 mi from the airport. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The food was good too.

Nice room & patio. Very clean!
Hotel is really close to beautifull mirissa beach.
We stayed 2 nights in a poolside deluxe room. The room was spacious and the outdoor bathroom a nice touch. The pool area is nice and relaxed, with the heat it felt very good to have somewhere to cool off. We had arranged a private safari but as this meant we missed breakfast the hotel packed a picnic for us to bring with us. We had all of our other meals at the hotel’s restaurant. The service is good but the food is a hit or miss, unfortunately we usually left a little disappointed.
Very nice hotel and very clean. Directly in the jungle, nice location, quiet, except the noises of the jungle. The food was excellent and the owner did all the possible to make the stay very nice, he even arranged a lunch specially for us. Many thanks for that. The safari was also very nice. Mosquito net was perfect, but there were no bugs or mosquitos in the room, as everything was perfectly cleaned. Airco was also fine.
Very friendly owners. They cooked an amazing meal, and the safari tour was super. Rooms are very clean and have comfortable beds. All in all: highly recommend!

Great place.The very clean rooms. Staff is very good. They helped a lot to make my first safari experience a very high, wonderful experience. We also had a lucky chance to see elephants from the room in the evening. Breakfast was also very good. They also found a vehicle for us to go to the beach for a reasonable price.Highly recomended
This is an amazing experience we had during our 1-night stay. We had a very stylish glamping tent which was so comfortable and so spacious. All meals were super delicious. The staff members at the campsite were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our time at Mahoora Udawalawe campsite & would highly recommend it.
