The peace and quiet, located 10 minutes outside of Penrith on farming land, the loudest noise we heard during our stay was the goats grazing. The hut itself was lovely, clean, tidy and cozy, perfect for a quiet getaway. It was lovely to make a morning coffee, open the hut doors and sit outside and enjoy the views out into the dales. On an evening, you can enjoy a BBQ whilst waiting for the hot tub to warm up (this can take several hours, a tip might be to ask the owners to pre-heat it for you if possible, especially in the colder months), then relax around the fire pit. There was even a chilled bottle of Prosecco waiting for us in the fridge. Only communicated with the owner, Cleone, through e-mail as she informed us she had personal guests and would be busy.

First stay in a glamping pod and this place certainly exceeded expectations. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Good views and a peaceful location; it would have been lovely to sit out on the deck had it not been such a cold evening. Appreciated the scones, jam and milk provided. Nice to see a selection of local books too.
Very clean, a good space. The owners have created a relaxing practical place.Comfortable beds, good shower facilities. Small supermarket 2 mins walk away and a pub opposite.Butchers/ deli less than a minutes walk away
The camping pod area is lovely, and the courtyard facilities were mostly good. It's a very large busy site, more of a holiday park than a traditional hostel. Enjoyed a hearty buffet breakfast. It's a beautiful setting with gardens and woodland, plenty of outdoor space and picnic benches.
Very clean and tidy. Very spacious rooms. Had most things we needed plenty of dishes and cooking facilities. Nice little walk to the beach. Convenient for most locations we wanted to visit
Fantastic sea view and access to the beach side walk, amazing and friendly host who went out of her way to accommodate our vegan breakfast request, very considerate switching on the heating especially for us and attention to detail to make us comfortable (fresh towels, access, helpful itinerary suggestion, very clean and tidy rooms/dining area), fabulous decor. This was a 25th wedding anniversary weekend for us and we were made to feel so special - it was a very wonderful and exceptional stay!
Great spot on the beach front. Fab staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean room with sea view. Food was fabulous.
The lodge and caravan park were very clean and tidy. There was everything you needed in the lodge including a welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits and cleaning stuff. It was cosy and the beds were super comfortable. The dog walking field and activity field were great too.
Very clean and so nice and fresh, beds was very comfortable, nice and warm when you put the heating on, overall a really lovely place to stay, we booked quickly as we was camping prior to this but it was way to cold so decided to book somewhere to stay for the last night we was away.
A warm, friendly welcome. Comfortable, very clean accommodation. Quiet yet convenient location to the towns amenities (2-12 min). The breakfast was continental, plentiful, and packaged like a picnic hamper (nice surprise). Recommended, good value fir money.
I liked the layout, looks very smart. Lovely option to be able to book the “hideaway” and “sizzle shack”. Ideal location and stay place for walkers and people used to camping/glamping. Site and facilities were very clean and smart. Has been made accessible for disabled people which is nice.
