Knapplund

We had cabin (bungalow) #19, so we had a view of the water. The location was quiet and within walking distance of the bridge where one can watch the Saltstraumen maelstrom. There is a sign near the hotel listing the best times to watch it. I liked the fact that the two-bedroom cabin also had two bathrooms. The bathroom floors are heated. The showers are good and come supplied with washing gel. Our beds were comfortable. The windows can open to let in fresh air. The hotel restaurant serves good food (but has a tiny menu). There is also a cafe about a 20-minute walk away. The staff were all very nice.
Bodø (Near Knapplund)
Located a 30 minute drive from Bodø, Camp Saltstraumen-Elvegård features accommodation with free WiFi and access to a garden. Hurtigruten Terminal Bodø is 31 km away.
The campsite offers a children's playground.
