The view was beautiful and the dome very comfortable. Sandy and Steve were wonderful hosts and brought us delicious breakfasts in the morning - the cheese scones were a highlight. Super relaxing stay!

Jennie is a wonderful host and made us feel very welcomed. Even though it’s quite compact, it has everything we needed. The moment we stepped into the farm, we felt so relaxed and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Love it here. I am missing the three Alpaca Brothers and the sheep already. Love that we could feed them and interact with them anytime we wanted and the cutie pies made us feel very loved and welcomed too!
Wanaka
Located near the egde of Lake Wanaka, Mt Gold Glamping is set on a private farm. There are 2 private campsites with tents on offer, which are accessible by foot. Free private parking is available on site. Everything. It's isolated which is so nice, it felt like we were alone in the forest. We had everything we needed for cooking (other than food, which we brought) and cleaning up and keeping warm. Even though it was somewhat cloudy, we saw so many stars at night and it was amazing. Be careful to bring your trash inside because we heard a bunch of bumping around and night and when we shined the flashlight, there was a possum rummaging around in the kitchen! Thankfully we didn't have anything left outside, so it wasn't a big deal. Overall this was such a great experience, maybe my favorite in our south island trip.
Very hot showers, friendly staff, people were very welcoming.
Beautiful quaint wee Kiwi crib. Everything you could possibly need and want. Quiet and the view is absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset!
Great location overlooking the lake and close to restaurants, shops and walks. Awesome views from the apartment with great verandah.
The view from our apartment was magical! From all areas of the apartment, you could see the view. Even from the bathroom! The king-size bed was very comfortable. Good kitchen. Hot shower. Underfloor heating in both kitchen and bathroom was great! Heated towel racks in bathroom was also great. We certainly enjoyed our 3 night stay and would highly recommend it!
Lovely stay, Toni made me feel very welcome and my stay at Kinloch Wilderness Retreat left me ready for another long day of walking. Thank you very much
It was great to stay in a grand old Fedation style house, which has been loved and cared for and altered by its owner, Roger, to become a comfortable guest house with heaps of character. We loved the innovation and collection of older furniture and memorabilia. Breakfast on the verandah with its gorgeous view was brilliant- and we loved chatting with our host. This was a memorable stay!
We loved this property so much. Right in the middle of Clyde, in fact, right on the footpath in a beautifully renovated timber cottage that we believe used to house the newspaper, the Dunstan times. So tastefully done, everything you could need for a comfortable stay inside the unit, with a bonus of a lovely little veranda out the back soaked in sunshine in the afternoons.
Quiet room with mountain view (breathtakingly beautiful at sunset!); good supply of toiletries including hand & body lotion (much needed by dry skin after a wilderness trek!); guest laundry with credit card-operated washing machines and dryers
A very quiet location with beautiful views of the mountains & surrounds. It feels like it is in the middle of nowhere, yet it is only a very short distance from the Rd. We sat on the veranda with a glass & lapped up the ever evolving sunset - WOW! Nice place, private, comfortable bed with tea & coffee facilities and some basic crockery & cutlery for your use
