My partner had the perfect overnight stay. Great parking, the bed was very comfortable, lovely hot shower, and he was very grateful for the little extras like fresh milk, yogurt and fruit.

Great place to visit beautiful surrounding countryside. Close to all local amenities but in the country side, so peaceful and surrounded by birds and wildlife. Our cottage was clean, warm with a well equipped kitchen. Ann and Graeme lived next door and made themselves available should we have any question, helped with suggestions of where to eat in the area and thank you Ann for your loaf of homemade bread. Yummie.
A lovely cosy accommodation in a beautiful surrounding, lots of space to wander with birds and other wildlife around. Jenna is a wonderful host and I felt really welcomed. Really nice breakfast too!

Room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Lovely hot shower. Breakfast was delicious. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Located outside Bishop Auckland but there are bus stops nearby and also the Auckland Way for a pleasant walk into town. Would definitely stay again.
the location is stunning. Perhaps the most interesting place I have ever stayed. A historic set of buildings, amazing grounds, chapels and more. the staff were lovely, room was basic but comfortable and clean. Being able to look round the deserted chapels at 8am before breakfast was a treat too. Breakfast was a more than adequate continental style buffet - pastries, cereals, fruits. It was very quiet although I think the walls between bedrooms are thin so that may depend on your neighbours. Excellent pub about 1 mile away for dinner.
