Buritaca
Featuring a private beach area and views of garden, Manoush Beach is a recently renovated luxury tent located in Buritaca, a few steps from Playa Buritaca. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. When we walked into this place, it was just absolutely breath taking. We had a group of 5 and we all agreed that it was one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. The proximity to the beach is A+, the tents themselves are extremely luxurious, exceptionally clean and such a novelty. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, guiding us to some wonderful places which really made our trip. And the bar at the place was super cute too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a summer getaway.
Minca
Set in Minca, within 19 km of Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino and 22 km of Santa Marta Gold Museum, tukamping offers accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The property is around 23 km from Santa Marta Cathedral, 23 km from Simon Bolivar Park and 23 km from Santa Marta Marina. Guests can access the luxury tent via private entrance. This was our favourite stay in Colombia. A beautiful setting, clean and comfortable accommodation, good breakfast and a great pizzeria next door, owned by the same family… just perfect. We stayed in the larger ‘tent’ and it was great to have the extra space for bags etc, but both options looked lovely. The owner was very helpful in arranging us mototaxis into the centre of Minca, but we also walked on other occasions and it wasn’t too far - 30 minutes. We loved going to the cascada escondida nearby, and even the river which was even closer on the same route was great for a quick dip!
Santa Marta
Hostal Ana is a recently renovated luxury tent in Santa Marta, where guests can make the most of its bar and shared lounge. Nice camp site within Tayrona Park! Basic but clean. Hammocks were clean and had a mosquito net. WiFi worked well in the restaurant onsite.
Brunella and Paulo were the best hosts! So sweet, kind, helpful and amazing cooks. The glamping tents were immaculate, plenty of space, good bathrooms and a nice deck to sit out on and read or listen to the wildlife. The beds had good mosquito nets over them as well. It’s a good distance from Tayrona park and get have to get on moped taxis up to the property which is fun when part of that journey is going through the river :D WiFi was really good also.
Very beautiful hostel. Clean rooms with mosquito nets, beautiful view of the jungle, they have a swimming pool, boxing equipment, chill spaces with hammocks and a nice view from the shower.
Lorena was super kind and incredibly friendly and the property has a lovely rooftop with hammocks. We watched the sunset which’ was lovely.
Location was great, right in centre of the town. Rooftop has a nice area to chill out in with some hammocks and sun beds with a small little pool also.
Beautiful location, great atmosphere, surprisingly delicious food! I still think about the chocolate sauce at breakfast. Amazing sunsets. Our room had a lovely porch area with a hammock which was idyllic to watch the birds and flora. Beautiful and well maintained gardens with hummingbirds flying through.
What a wonderful find! The hostel is on the most beautiful property where you get to see the most incredible sunsets and has a lovely little pool. It’s a little out of town which I actually liked as I preferred the seclusion of the place. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Food was also great! There’s also hot showers which was a rare find in Colombia!
We had a wonderful stay here before and after our hike through Tayrona park. The cabin was lovely and surrounded by wildlife, a cat and three dogs). There are a couple of nice trails nearby as well, which are reachable by crossing a river. Last but definitely not least, Ramón was super kind and helpful. For example, he helped us arrange the hammocks at Mirador de San Juan and led us to the trails. ¡Gracias por todo Ramón!
Friendly staff, especially the manager who always meets you with a smile. The location and views are amazing, and you can hike into town in 30 minutes time. Cute rooms and nice that there were mosquito nets. Also loved the hammocks outside (but there should be more) and watching the wildlife. Great addition with the free filtered water, as well as coffe and hot chocolate!
