The kitchen, lounge space and toilet is well maintained. The garden area lit up at night makes the place feel atmospheric. The best recommendation I can give is driving down the road to the bakers fridge. Freshly made bread is delivered to the roadside outdoor fridge in the morning which we took back to the kitchen and had breakfast on the terrace. Absolute bliss! The location is among the most pristine wilderness places on earth. Lovely rooms, with gas fires, a couple of choices for dinner and a great breakfast to carb up before trekking. Wonderfully helpful and friendly staff, happy to help out with any issue and with terrific knowledge of the walks available. Great wildlife roaming the resort.
This was my third visit to Cradle Mountain Lodge, the wilderness, wildlife, natural beauty all sell themselves. The Highland Restaurant dinner didn’t disappoint, delicious food, accommodating kitchen (my niece has an egg allergy), many more special memories made.
Great location with unspoilt views of the ocean. The accommodation was spotless and very comfortable, full kitchen including dishwasher and a covered in verandah with a bbq. There are sheep and chickens to feed and a variety of wildlife venturing around the surrounding farm land. Great TV reception and excellent wifi. The hosts are very welcoming and informative if you need some ideas.
If you love nature and Tassie wildlife, this place is for you. Absolutely perfect for our trip towards SouthWest Tasmania. Wash facilities were great, hot showers and free laundry.
Loved the view. I liked everything about the house. Wildlife were amazing in the yard. Pub is the only place for meals. They are lovely. I wholly recommend staying here. The Pennicott Wilderness cruise out in the bay and getting to see a whale was amazing. The cliffs and caves were spectacular. Could of stayed longer
So close to wildlife and the view was amazing. Wallabies came up under the verandah and wombats seen nearby. As the property was on a hill overlooking Hobart their was not a lot of white light which made the view of the stars incredibly beautiful. The aurora can be seen!
First stay in The Queenslander but not the first at the Pilot Station. Exceptional venue for a group. Travelled with 7 singles and plenty of room for everyone. The wrap around verandah is special, for early morning coffee on one side and sunsets on the other.
Welcoming host, dinner was excellent, breakfast too. Views to die for and wildlife watching from the veranda. Paul was entertaining, friendly and helpful. We had a splendid evening and breakfast with the other guests and could not have asked for more.
Loved the cottage and pretty garden as well stayed in the gardeners cottage. Sat on the verandah for sunset drinks surrounded by dusk chorus. Peaceful and relaxing. Loved being able to explore the historic farm too as well as the stunning historic garden.
We really loved everything about the Safari Tents. Really it was like glamping with all the creature comforts. The wilderness and Stewarts Bay at our door step for great walks. We were visited every night by wallaby's, possums and some kind of lorikeets
