Amazing property on the beach. On the ground level you have hammocks and bathroom, which was much nicer than expected. The room is an experience, modest room with the a bed, fan and mosquito net. You can see beautiful sunrise from there, you can use one of the beds on the beach and order some refreshments from the bar. Overall very happy with my stay there!
We really enjoyed our stay here! The rooms are small but well equipped with mosquito nets, fan and air conditioning. We especially enjoyed the outside area with the deck chairs and hammocks. What makes this place special is Billie, who's very welcoming and friendly! He took us on a scooter & lagoon safari and it was just amazing to share his knowledge of the nature and animals.
Beautiful room with lots of space, a hammock, good AC and great bathroom. Great facilities (pool, nearby private beach, bike & scooter rental). Very good on-site restaurant with healthy and tasty food. Lovely staff. Activities provided (surfing lessons and board rental, safari).
The room was basic but cheap so it was ok value for money. The bathroom had a hot shower and the bed was comfortable enough. We requested soap and a kettle which were promptly supplied.
The upstairs hammock area was nice for evening lounging with a sea view.
It was close to the beach and we enjoyed hearing the crashing waves.

Billie is the best host in all of Sri Lanka. Amazing rooms, beautiful garden. Billie treats his guests like part of the family and we really felt at home. Billie took us on an amazing night safari to see the local wildlife and we also went to the markets to buy supplies to cook a bbq in in the garden one evening.
Highly recommend hakuna matata, one of the best guest houses in Sri Lanka.
Wonderfull stay at Beach Wave Hotel. Helpful staff. Close to the beach and main street and near by some restaurants. Clean room and bathroom. Inside bathroom toilet paper, soap and towels. Comfy bed with mosquito net. Bed decorated with flowers. Superb balcony with hammock. We really enjoyed. Value for stay!
The room where I stayed was clean and very nice bed was very comfortable with mosquito net which helped a lot. Owner and his missus was very nice & helpful and also the stuff. Location is amazing because almost everything is literally seconds away, the beach is across the road. Huge plus was that guest here can use also laundry services which is very comfortable. What I like the most that there was very nice view from the hotel during sunsets.
Good location right at the beach. Comfortable bed and really convenient mosquito net. Also, modern A/C which was super quiet. We also enjoyed the hammock and the little veranda!
We spent a week in Arne's Cabana and didn't want to leave. The cabana is simple but has everything, the little outdoor area with hammock and couch is the best after a big day. As surfers, it was great to wake up in the morning and see the surf break 🌊
We loved our stay, the staff are relaxed and helpful. They also organise a great Safari, highly recommended.
Relaxed barefoot atmosphere with beautiful rustic bungalows with hammock and lounge chairs on the veranda all in a palm tree grove right on an amazing beach with white sand and crushing waves. There is also a great restaurant serving Italian pizza and pasta, which you can even enjoy in one of the beach lounge areas. Also enjoyed early morning yoga. The owners are super friendly and helpful in organising whatever, from tub tuks, to surf trips or a lagoon excursion…
