What a warm welcome and so many little touches that made the stay very easy. The tents were large and spacious and beautifully furnished. We were kindly upgraded and offered free showers. The staff couldn't have been kinder.

Ties Campground was a wonderful place to stay as a family. We were hiking a number of days on the Nakasendo Way & returning to the campground each night was great! The place is very well set up with provisions for cooking and cleaning and the glamping tents are really beautiful, with plenty of warmth in the way of sleeping bags and doonas provided. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and accommodating.

We arrived in the pouring room and enjoyed the warm welcome and beers in the main building. The hot pot was delicious and we had a very comfortable stay in the tents. The breakfast with view on the valley and grinding your own coffee was superbe! The owners are very friendly + the camping is ON the Nakasendo trail.

This is a very extraordinary place. The owners and staff are so helpful and lovely and they offer a shuttle for guests arriving without car. It is the perfect place to relax, read and find quiet, as it is up in the mountains. The house is stunningly beautiful in a kind of rustic-traditional way and I especially liked the hammock for reading time. I was traveling alone and felt at all times safe, comfy and relaxed.

The apartment is beautifully fitted out with comfortable beds and plenty of space. The location has a great view and veranda overlooking the river. The owner is very helpful and assisted us with getting our luggage delivered to the apartment .

Pictures can’t really capture the beauty of this place. You feel the love for the building, the environment and the guests in everything. Our kids and us had a great time here, walking the Nakasendo trail between Magome and Tsumago and staying for two nights. I loved sunset on the veranda with homemade plumwine and the hot bottles (with charcoal) we got at a chilly night.
