Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
We arrived at the hotel (Annex) after sunset and was happy that the reception staff helped us with the check-in even though it was passed his working hours. Happy to be able to use the onsen within the hotel (Annex). The room (Japanese Modern Room) was large enough for our family of 4 adults. We only stayed one night and checked out early the next morning. There were only a few parking lots at the Annex and we were glad that there was a vacant lot on our arrival.
Dinner was great and we loved the view of Mount Fuji from our room. We were lucky to have a clear view, sunset was so nice. I advice to book dinner/breakfast together with the accommodation.
Value for money compared to other hotels in the vicinity. Staff were very friendly. Location is very good, walking distance to the lake, sunset by the lake was one of the best!

It was the best hotel we stayed at in Japan, making it the highlight of our trip! We did not expect it to be so beautiful and luxurious. We paid for half board, which meant we were welcomed with a delicious dinner made up of countless beautifully plated courses. The next morning, breakfast was just as excellent.
Our room was perfect, with a private hot spring bath on the balcony. We will never forget the view overlooking a lake at sunset.
The staff were amazing! I stayed there on my birthday and the staff went above & beyond to make it special. They gave me chop sticks and chocolate as a gift as well as a free desert with happy birthday written on it. Truely a special stay! The room was comfy & clean with great facilities in an awesome location
Stunning architecture set in a forest. Loved the design of my room with the couch and desk facing the forest, even saw deer and wildlife. Coffee shop and games room are great. They made a special effort to provide vegan meals which was much appreciated. The onsen is beautiful and looks out on the forest.
Best manager/ staff, went beyond his responsibilities and helped us in various ways.
