For travelers who love being in nature with some added luxury. Also known as glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, surrounded by wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it and stay glamorous.
We had 16 days at this lovely quiet motel which was a five minute walk from the beach and local cafes. The room was large with a full length verandah with seating to allow the afternoon breeze. Bath room also very large with constant hot water. Very clean. Food was simple but very tasty with large servings. Staff were all great particularly Ramesh who did cleaning, cooking, serving, gardening and maintenance. He was the loveliest gentleman who could not do enough for you and always with a huge smile on his face.
A Hotel run by a Colonel! Lots of army memorabilia - veey homely with lovely big rooms. The breakfasts and restaurant were great - lots of food , very tasty and reasonable prices. The hotel is set back from the road with a small veranda which you can chill out on. There also patking for a few cars/mbikes. The hotel is in a great location - quiet but very close to the town centre - 5 mins walk. We went for a night and stayed for three and didnt really want to leave!
Good property for exploring wonderful Ooty
Large comfortable bed, hot shower and place to sit outside
The owner was very helpful and arranged a couple of tours for us at a good price
He also arranged a taxi to take us to our next place
It was his birthday when we arrived and he gave us some of his birthday cake
The owners are so accommodating.
Reminds me of my mom and dad.
The location is great with scenic views of the mountain and the tea state.
It was so raining hard when we visited OOTY and we enjoyed sitting on the veranda sipping our warm coffee.
We like each and everything about place and best place to stay with beautiful scenery with good moments of sunrise and sunset... and mostly people are good and they are like family ...
Nice spacious and airy room with a big window with partial lake view. 24 h hot shower (if you know that you must flick the button outside the bathroom to heat the water). Friendly staff. Excellent WiFi. Very close to the bus station and right by the lake.
The location is superb.. luckily we were able to see the sunset and the view was awesome. The staff was really nice.
We enjoyed the cold weather as it near to highest peak.
good breakfast
