A real mountain retreat and a corner of paradise! Nature all around, beautiful hiking trails close, breathtaking views, fresh air, wonderful sunsets and sunrises! Debbie is such a sincere and caring host that we felt very welcome and at home! Dogs are friendly, too! Delicious self-made breakfast and a glass of wine on the terrace watching the stars in the evening - everything you could wish for a perfect holiday! Thank you so much! ❤️
The host picked us up. We arrived by bus. That was so appreciated. The view from the veranda. Comfy spacious rooms. The walk into San mateo along the Barranco only took 30 mins and lovely. The walk from the digs to Brigada down Alonso Baranco was magic. There are other trails too from the property eg to Teror. Netflix. We loved the ambience. Very relaxing place. It had a kettle. Nice lady downstairs and sweet dogs.
The hostel is located on a amazing property with stunning views, the volunteers who are working there are very nice and helpful. We immediately felt welcomed and part of a community. Dinner and breakfast (vegetarian) are prepared every day by them and offered to the guests in exchange for a small contribution. Around the huge and beautiful land there are also caves where you can sleep and a small camping area with equipped tents.
I would definitely recommend to stop there ;)
We received a warm welcome by the owners, who showed as around the house before they left. It is a very cosy house, inside and outside. It is beautifully located in the mountains with a veranda overlooking the valley. The house and kitchen are very complete, outside there is even a wood oven and a barbecue made in stone. Outside there is also a terrace for sunbathing (with chairs and and beach umbrella) and a "small" swimming pool.
The place is very quiet.
