We had an extraordinarily wonderful time at the camp. The settings were all top notch. The beddings were squeaky clean, the shower and electricity gave it an extra notch. The host organized a sunset dune bashing and they took us for a once in a lifetime ride for a great sunset. We had wonderful Omani dinner and breakfast at the camp, and we were stuffed every single time. The camp was very quiet at night and we cannot imagine how it would get any better than this.
Bidiyah
Situated in Bidiyah in the Al Sharqiyah region, Rashid Desert Private Camp has a balcony. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the luxury tent's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. I spent alot of time researching the desert camp options and chose Rashid's because it ticked all the boxes for us...small camp - only 4 tents for a more intimate experience, reasonable prices for everything, elevated tents so not on the ground with creepy crawlers, private bath inside, comfy beds, good food, good reviews of the owner host for a welcoming and enlightening experience. The stay exceeded all of my, already high, expectations. also, some camps are just barely in the desert and some are many miles in, this was a lovely distance in. Rashid made us feel like honored guests and family. He wants his guests to feel at home and was open to all questions about his homeland and culture. He taught us so much and also loved to hear and learn about our homeland and lives. The food was incredible as well. We went dune bashing to collect some of the plastic I was so sad to see in the desert by my request. He took us to see camels and there were new babies. Whoever you choose to stay with please honor the desert and collect your garbage. But don't miss the opportunity to stay with rashid! We arrived as strangers and left as honored friends!

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Saïd is really a nice person. He is here to please you, without forcing you for anything.. He will do everything to make your stay enjoyable and will give you very good pieces of advice. I slept outside, on a mastress, under the stars, alone in the camp, in September 2022. That was one of the best experiences of my life! The sunrise on top of the highest dune, next to SandGlass Camp, was beautiful. Amazing! I recommend to live this, once in your life, at an affordable price in SandGlass Camp. Fabrice, from Toulouse, France

We had an excellent stay at Nomadic Desert Camp in December. The hosts are very welcoming and it is such a great experience to spend one night in the desert. We did a sunset camel ride and sunrise 4x4 safari and both were amazing! The huts are nice and comfortable, shared toilets & shower clean, and the food was excellent. The whole camp is set up in a lovely way - keeping in touch with the nature.
Bidiyah

On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the luxury tent's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. To stay in a Desert Camp sleeping under the stars is a completely outstanding experience. Driving over the dunes, riding camels, sharing the local food with the family that accommodated us felt special indeed. The location of the camp is hidden, aqay from other camps or other people, so one can enjoy complete silence, darkness and inclusion with the nature. Provided breakfast and dinner had a traditional tone which we appreciated highly. Recommended!

Location is good, if you want something remote and in the desert and an authentic desert experience, it is ideal. The main reason we speak so positively is due to the staff, Murshid was out guide/driver/tour guide etc etc and went above and beyond. He was helpful, informative and honestly gave us the experience of a lifetime. Outside of the dome we had the best time we could ask for.
Very nice place with friendly staff. The location was excellent. Tent was very clean and well equipped.
Incredibly friendly staff, lovely location on the top of the sand dunes not too far from the nearest town. One of the biggest and most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in, spotlessly clean (despite the sand) also offering a proper toilet, shower and wash hand basin. Evening meal is optional and was delicious. The camp camel was a bonus!
An amazingly well-run stylish and elegant camp, with attentive staff, beautiful bedrooms and great outdoor seating/dining in a stunning location. Not cheap but worth the expense. Lots of activities offered. Good buffet. Particular thanks to Shanavas, on the reception desk - super-efficient, kind and very cheerful.
The owner's extremely nice brother, Said, who took us on an hour-long sunrise ride across the dunes at an affordable price. We also ordered dinner and were surprised by the amount of delicious and varied food prepared by his mother. Clean and large rooms, actually a whole apartment with two rooms and a corridor connecting them. Efficient wifi and adequate room and bathroom equipment. The hotel's excellent location, right next to the dunes. I sincerely recommend it!
Location perfect, lovely lodging hut and good facilities. Rented own 4x4 as cheaper for a day than renting 2 wheel drive and then paying for a high price pick up from garage to camp. A relative easy track to drive to camp about 20mins. A few sand bumps for 5mins of drive.
The location of the camp was great near top of the dune with wonderful view and isolated from other camps. Nice local food. Very clean tent. We had a good dune bashing at sunset
