We wanted to visit Cape Reinga and discovered this perfect stay as we were searching for accommodations. The room was really clean (best tidiness and cleaning we had in New Zealand) and had everything we needed. A 5-minute drive away is the Tonui Lucid Cafe, which we recommend for breakfast; the view is beautiful and the food delicious. We arrived around 5 p.m. at the accommodation, had a wonderful chat with the hosts, and left our luggage there. We still made it to the grand dunes to surf a little in the sand. Afterwards, there was still time to check out Cape Reingas lighthouse in a marvellous sunset. After a good night's sleep, we went to eat breakfast at the Lucid Cafe, checked out the Gumdiggers Forest, and continued to the Maitai Beach (we absolutely recommend this beach!). So, the place has a perfect location.
Mangonui

There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Fiona is a lovely host. The house is beautiful, clean, spacious with a beautiful view.

The bed and breakfast has family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. Paul the owner was great, very congenial and helpful. The lodge was very home-like.

Genuinely friendly, personal and warm welcome and farewell without being intrusive....outstanding customer service! Extremely spacious unit. The hotel's location is excellent, nestled in a serene environment with a lush native garden that provides privacy and a sense of being close to nature. The ground-floor deluxe room is beautifully appointed and secluded, making it ideal for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The highlight of our experience was the buffet breakfast, which offered a wide variety of delicious options that truly enhanced our overall stay. Without this impressive breakfast spread, we would not hesitate to stay here again.
Amazing location, great hot water, comfortable bed. The turn over service was also very nice and appreciated. Bathroom was very clean. I loved the little balcony. Lovely staff!

Affordable Ideal location
My 2nd stay at Warepuke. My host Tania remembered me from my first visit. A different lodge this time round, spotlessly clean, spacious and again a very comfortable bed. If you want peace and tranquility set a a sub-tropical garden/forest, this is simply the most affordable resort like location I have found in NZ. Yes the paint on the inside maybe dated but everything is clean and practical. Seperate bedroom, well appointed kitchen and a very generous renovated bathroom.
Ideal location, very clean and good facilities, everything you need in the room. Wonderful staff: the nice lady in reception checked us in 3 hours earlier as we arrived early - priceless! Ample parking available, very quiet and relaxing, good bed.

Only a five minute walk to shops and restaurants. A great central location for exploring the area. It was an older property but very clean and had everything I needed. It was a good cheap 4 night stay. The man on reception was very polite when I checked in and out.
